cw18: Did you see on the news that cheese is apparently going to rocket in price due to the wet spring?
x[/QUOTE]
Nooooooooooooooo!!!! I love cheese......Who know's how to make solid cheese??? I'v only done cottage cheese. Good job we've now got a NSD herd of cow's [if only they were real] OK it's shopping day for me must add more cheese and put it in the freezer [which is nearly empty, hence off to FF] hope everyone has a good day. B£71.93/ £180.000 -
Really not doing well here, but having MSDs instead (minimal spend days). Trying to get at least one more NSD in this week though it doesn't help when I keep having to go to the post office to send things I've sold or go to the employment agency in town for an appointment or a job interview...0

our recipe for liver cake for doggles.
1lb of liver, calves is best
12 oz self raising flour
3 cloves of garlic
water to make it in to a slurry type mixture
open all windows and doors
sling all ingredients into blender (hold noses closest to kitchen)
whizz until you reach the thick slurry sort of stage
grease up wide flat pan
pour slurry mixture into pan
sling in oven for around 30mins
medium oven
take out and wait until it is firm to the touch.
This usually makes enough for 6/7 wee bags which I then freeze off. The doggles get one bag a week which I keep in the fridge. this or a variation of is what a lot of dog trainers use. Our daft lab walks with his nose in my pocket if i have some there, i don't use all the time but keep for occasions where I want to make sure he does what I want.
It is a bit smelly but hot that bad, and much cheaper than shop bought treats so very MSE!!More than Two Years in

Just done a G00gle to try and find out something about the possible rise in cheese prices.
Found an article on the Daily M@ail site which suggests a 10% rise in price over the next 6 months due to low milk yields...... now wondering what this'll do to the price of milk as well(Counts myself even luckier that I lose the milk monster in September

--but perhaps have a look at where & when you are spending, then see if you are trying to include too many unavoidable spends into the mix.
A lot of people would not include postage & packaging for sales as that is paid for by the customer & I don't include fairs or parking for essential appointments, which in my world covers things like job hunting, hospital, commuting, emergency prescriptions..that sort of thing. I do however include petrol, but that is to make sure I remember to fill up while at the supermarket & not have to scrabble along with me knees crossed hoping I make it to the garage when I'm already running late
For an example, if I had been feeling better on Monday [nothing drastic but had to stay close to certain facilities if you get my drift _pale_] I would have taken the opportunity to pick up bits of fresh food that we needed because I knew I was definitely spending on the chiropodist appointment. [As it happened, The Offspring 'sprung' for the milk & loaf that was absolute:j] That would have covered all my predicted spends for the next few days & allowed me some nsds. I've actually bought the birthday cards I know I shall need in the next couple of months & keep a store of general cards for those who warrant a not-so-personal type. I always try to keep a basic first aid kit with pain killers & plasters SIZE=1]& ladies things[/SIZE & use old wives remedies for anything I can as I can still remember when shops weren't on 24hr opening.
I think I'm in a Plan that is kinda working for me, but it has taken time to get here. This Challenge just helps to keep me focused & not "popping to the shops" when I really do not have to. HTH folk & please--any of you--let us know if we can help in any way OK? There is no need to lose faith when we're all here to help one another get thru & the giggles are just an added bonus.

Spendy day for me.
I spent £2 on lunch, £6 something on toiletries and £2.18 on 2 500ml bottles of diet coke.
The diet coke isn't something I would normally buy (well not at that price!) but might be worth mentioning to others to let you know I got a free nails inc nail polish with the 2 bottles of coke at bo0ts (4colours to choose from).
Good luck to others for NSDs.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
