Right have been back over the last few days and so far this month I have squeezed in 5 nsd and 6 sd's which considering I am an aunty again and have celebrated 2 family birthdays is not really that bad! Poor dh is doing every single bit of shopping though just so I can reach my target, which I don't suppose is the way to do it but it worksfor meMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Evening all, hope you are all well :hello:
Today is NSD number 5 today, I think I am just about on target. 10 hours of hell at work is enough to make me go straight home and avoid any whoopsie shopping on the way home
Also ruined a perfectly good NSD yesterday - had a really quiet day at one of our branches, so got bored and ended up doing an App Foods order - Don't know what I was thinking - I was only playing about seeing what was on there and suddenly I end up putting in my Paypal details! Still, got lots of yummy storecupboard stuff for a fraction of the normal price
Another advantage of my quiet day was that I finally worked out how to do an avatar!! I'd also set my account to not view avatars, so now I've changed that and I can see you all!!Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
(((((hugs Spoon)))))) Hope you are feeling better today? Please let us know if we can do anything to cheer you up....My FIL was a painter/decorator & my dad did all our decorating, but the two had very different methods of hanging wallpaper. When I had a bash at doing the kitchen, I got to a tricky bit & as I stood there trying to figure out the best way to tackle it, I suddenly had a feeling that my two dads were having a heated discussion about which was the better option, just over my left shoulder. In my mind's eye it was very similar to those cartoons where the character has an :A on one shoulder & a
on t'other :rotfl: I find it comforting to think of loved ones as still being around & my children talk about FIL as if they knew him, which unfortunately is not the case
As babies, we used to leave flowers on Grandad Bill's doorstep as he was busy painting rainbows & latterly Grangrad driving the train ]for the Care Bears. Since then, MIL makes sugar sandwiches for their picnics & Unca P builds their furniture..even tho the Offspring are all now adults. I do love my kids at times
Lovely story BigMumma, made me smile & think about my grandad, specially the DIY bit, he was a whizz at it, although being ukranian at birth he had the odd confusion with technical terms... paralysed pipes were my favourite when we fitted radiators, after a bit of head scratching we realised he meant parallel!!!
Was soooo close to a no spend day today till the birthday pressie pot came round for the boss  Have locked some money in my draw today tho for the next few times so i can count them as NSD's. Tomorrow WILL be a NSD, as will Thursday & Friday no matter what!!!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Don't think I'm gonna make my target this month, thinking about it...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Go straight home... do not pass go (or any of those nasty shops trying to tempt you to spend your hard-earned money)... you'll feel much better:D

I can now safely declare another NSD for today so 6 for me please Spoon.
You've still got time slowlyfading, you are ahead of target so far with 7 out of 11 and you have 20 days left to the remaining 10.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
There is hope, me thinks - third NSD for the month (out of 10). And I am counting only the days when no one in the family spends anything.

Thanks guys! It's just that I'm going home this weekend, got an engagement party next weekend and a wedding the weekend after! I shall try and remain positive, however...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
