Yesterday took me up to NSD number 7; unfortunately, today will be a spend day, as I didn't have time to make a packed lunch, so will buy a little snack from the sandwich man - have a good day everyone!

Hello all! Well Im back from a very last minute indeed weekend in Wales (booked on Thursday night, went on Saturday, back last night), and am now embarassingly sunburnt! Turns out they sometimes have sun in Wales, who knew?

Anyway had a lovely old time climbing Snowdon and doing some other walks around Snowdonia. We brought all our own food and stayed in a bunk house so no big spends, but as the whole thing was rather naughty from an MSE perspective Im not counting any NSDs. Will have to work extra hard the rest of the month!

    Hi everyone:wave:
I haven't forgotten you all - wasn't feeling brilliant last night so didn't log on to do my update.

Will be back later to do a mega-update and say hello properly - just off to work now.

    See you all later.

Fail :(*taps foot & arms crossed* :naughty:

Still 5 for me. I bought chocolate
You do realise that 5 nsds out of ten has meant a 50% success rate don't you, so how can that be a f@ilur£? Don't be so defeatist wummun/blokie/personage :angry:curtain.gif& it was for chokkit wink.gif
....Agree with those that have discussed talking to loved ones who have died, i write a blog to my best friend who passed a couple of years ago with all the gossip i would have phoned to chat about. I have great fun making up nicknames for people, (paranoia that someone i know may find & read the blog!!), & can sooo imagine her laughing her head off at me when she reads it :D
My FIL was a painter/decorator & my dad did all our decorating, but the two had very different methods of hanging wallpaper. When I had a bash at doing the kitchen, I got to a tricky bit & as I stood there trying to figure out the best way to tackle it, I suddenly had a feeling that my two dads were having a heated discussion about which was the better option, just over my left shoulder. In my mind's eye it was very similar to those cartoons where the character has an :A on one shoulder & a devil-smiley-023.gifon t'other :rotfl: I find it comforting to think of loved ones as still being around & my children talk about FIL as if they knew him, which unfortunately is not the case :o As babies, we used to leave flowers on Grandad Bill's doorstep as he was busy painting rainbows & latterly Grangrad driving the train for the Care Bears. Since then, MIL makes sugar sandwiches for their picnics & Unca P builds their furniture..even tho the Offspring are all now adults. I do love my kids at times love-smiley-067.gif

Anyhooz! To business! I saw me muvva's chiropodist last night, about this blessed thing in my foot. What a waste of time & money THAT was  but more so, ruined a perfectly good nsd. Bah! Give it a bit of time TheBees, & you'll soon feel the same way I promise! Everyone--me included--thinks it is sooooo easy to say they'll not spend money but the reality is a kicker! You hang on in there; any day you accomplish is a victory & soon you'll be as hooked on the highs you get from NSD as the rest of us :p
