Good evening all, surprised myself by making this another NSD - number 5! However, I will be spending some money tomorrow on fruit and veg, plus the Ringtons tea chap is due tomorrow. Still, half way to target isn't bad with two thirds of the month still to go!

    Hi everyone

Had quite a boring, depressing weekend trying not to spend money. Went to MrT for a basic food shop but apart from that I avoided all the other shops and spent most of the weekend indoors out of the cold.
Does anyone else feel fed up when they're trying not to spend? The poor weather didn't really help as I couldn't get out in the garden so ended up watching a DVD with DD13 on Sunday afternoon.

    Aaargh spent today

Got home to a parcelforce card when i really wasn't expecting a parcel, rang them to find out who it was from (mind screaming credit card fraud ) & had never heard of the company that sent it, so couldn't wait & had to dash to the post office immediately!!!!
The good news is that it was a huge box of washing powder from a survey site for me to try, the bad news is that i then nipped in the cheap freezer shop & bought a bag of oven chips to go with my sea bass tea (lets not talk about the fact i had to remove the head ) & some of my favourite ice cream cones that i only buy when on offer. Only a £2 spend (probably in minus figures if i take off the value of the washing powder) but still unnecessary

Agree with those that have discussed talking to loved ones who have died, i write a blog to my best friend who passed a couple of years ago with all the gossip i would have phoned to chat about. I have great fun making up nicknames for people, (paranoia that someone i know may find & read the blog!!), & can sooo imagine her laughing her head off at me when she reads it :D

:hello:Hi all, NSD 8 for me today.

My daughter is currently being bullied at school and on MSN so I've spent this evening on MSN 'conversing' with her bullys (with DD's consent). I've taken copies of the text and the language used (not pleasant) and plan to mention it to mum tomorrow if I can catch her.

I think I really messed with their minds. I was as nice as pie and they just couldn't work it out. I don't think they realised it wasn't my daughter! I know we can block them but it's just so [STRIKE]evil[/STRIKE] devil-smiley-019.gif funny watching them talk and they don't realise we are there.

Anyway, not too worried it will get violent or anything, being a black belt she knows how to take care of herself! 4.gif Mentally she doesn't seem to be worried and at least she's talking to me about it, I think that's half the battle. Ironic thing is, it all started because her friends were being bullied and she stuck up for them. Now the bullies are fine with her friends but have turned on DD :(.
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Perhaps you could show a copy of the evidence to the school headteacher? If it makes the bullies look stupid they can be named and shamed. Hopefully your daughter's friends are sticking up for her, seeing as she did the same for them when they were getting hassle?

I find it much easier when I've a run of NSDs 'cos then my competitive side comes out and I like the challenge! But I think we've all been there - it's why I spend a lot of time here reminding myself it's not just me (honest guv, it's not all procrastination ;))

I am going to declare today (Monday, ok, so technically yesterday) an NSD, taking my total to 6.

I did sort out my sewing classes and pay for them, but they don't take the money out for a few weeks yet, and since I didn't spend anything else today but will have to collect my underpaid postage item tomorrow, I will pretend the money comes out of my account tomorrrow and then hide the card so I don't forget and use it before they do take the money! If that makes sense! :)

  • Just a quick hi from me today! Still no further along with my NSDs this month. It's very busy here and I have barely been in the house over the last week. Out again this morning.

I suspect that I may need to spend today, so I'm writing today off. Intend to be good for the rest of the month though :)
