please believe me I understand how you feel, i think i can count the number of nitfree wekks on one hand for the past 6years until now!!
get a prescription for "Hederin" from your GP - it is brand new and works!!!!
It is like 'frizz ease' and you cover your daughters hair in it, leave it on overnight (now for the gross bit) and you will find the dead lice on the pillow case in the morning. works by suffocating the little blighters and the hair is so slippery they slide out. doesn't kill the eggs so re-treat week later.
this is my first posting and this subject has motivated me to get registered - been reading for ages!
please try - it is the only thing that has worked for my three daughters - another bonus is it leaves hair really soft and shiny.:rotfl:0 -
Hi,
Know the feeling, in the same situtation, money wise i have been advised to go bankrupt!! C.A.B have been great they are worth going to they are so helpfull.
I am a single parent 1 boy and 2 girls, they younger of the girls always has nits and like you tried all the potions and old wifes tales, tea tree oil mixed with the shampoo does help to comb the out, tried vinigar!! soaked her head in it then wraped clingfilm over her hair left for 2 hrs and was shocked i washed her hair and they fell out, give it a try.
I have put on so much weight in the last six months, charity shops are a great place to go for cheap cloths and you can get some great bargians.
Hope things work out back to school next week and it starts all over again

I had a friend who was overweight. She had tried this diet and that etc. What she found worked for her, was buying some plates that were between normal dinner plate and side plate size. She still filled her plate, but because it was a smaller size, couldn't put so much on.
Apparently still have a full (all be it smaller plate) fools the brain into thinking that this is still as filling, so you feel full after eating the smaller plate full.
Hope this helps
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Triker wrote:Hello, think I'm having my lightbulb moment. Been in tears most of today, have gone from being fairly pleased with myself midweek having been really careful with my money to sobbing my eyes out today when I went to the cash machine and am am overdrawn on my £3000.00 overdraft and won't get paid until the end of the month.
Really felt that I'd started to get a grip on my finances. Had a huge sort out last weekend of stuff for ebay, cleared loads of junk from my compulsive shopping. This used to happen regularly set off by thoughts such as, oh the house needs cleaning, I know instead of cleaning it I'll go out and buy something that will magically transform my messy home into.......a more cluttered, messy home.
As a generally upbeat and positive person I've compiled a list of positives and negatives.
Negatives
Being overdrawn on overdraft. No savings. My daughter has nits.......well if I cast my mind back it's hard to think of a time when she hasn't had nits. Seemed to stem from nursery and I don't think there has been many times that I have managed to get her completely clear without the next hairwash finding more of the b@ggers. Before you all say 'ugh', I promise you I have tried everything, every lotion, potion, oil, chemical and nit zapper going. Short of shaving her head or napalming her hair I have to carry on regardless. Always clears in the hols but when back at school or when she plays with some other kids it starts again.
I'm fat, yes I truly am. I am point blank refusing to buy any more clothes (actually have no choice as have no money) but if I had the option then I wouldn't. Was a happy size 12/14 many centuries ago, something happened (think it was connected to excess food consumption in some way !!) and erm well I'm fat and fed up.
Of the mountain of clothes that I left, I think only 3 items fit.I have about £8000 credit card debt and a CCJ.Can appeal my CCJ but haven't quite got round to it probably because I'm disorganised and lazy. (Reminder to self please give (me) a strong kick up the b-m)Can't get smilies or any gaps in my postings to work so this is going to look like one great big paragraph.
Positives.
lovely hubby who has given me £300 to try to clear the overdrawnness on my overdraft. Says will support me throughout the rest of the month, financially. Two lovely children along with lovely hubby, nuff said, love them all to bits.A house to sell as soon as I can get down to it (I live 250 miles away)have booked leave from work and will be going to sort out getting it on the market in next 2 weeks. Our cat, who loves me whether I'm fat and skint or not.Brackets, I love them (do you?) they are all I've got as I have no smilies. MSE, my new addiction, great 'ere innit? Right I'm off, feel a lot better for getting that lot off my (ample) chest, sending you all a wry smile and a 'right I'm going to get on with it' look. Cheerio
tell it as it is a good way to start your frustrations well done. you most probably will be the most important person on martins web.
sounds like your blessed with beautfull children, and a great hubby.
you made me think i never thought to myself before how i left the home to shop and not work in it. so true thats why i too have so much clutter. i do feel better though when i go to the charity shop with bags of stuff. problem is i think i would need a few skips to really throw everyhting out.
good luck with the sale of your house i am sure there is someone out there first time buyer waiting for your prorety to go on the market.
me too i was size 12-14 but i ended up giving them away all work stuff so i thought to myself someone else had better use them as they had been in the cupboard for 5-10 years oh god the shame! but i always remember my lovely dad saying how many pairs of shoes do you need you can only wear one pair. so true but i do have more then a thw pairs in red dont ask me about black brown sandels etc.
oh well time to go back to work earn some more pennies from heaven!!0 -
sounds like you need to deal with the source
what are the nursey/school doing to stop this?0 -
I just watched an advert for CILLIT BANG - this seems to do wonders for everything else - maybe it works on nits too.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I empathise with you sooooo much. My daughter constantly had nits - I'm fat (or all my knickers have shrunk), and for many, many years I was overdrawn - unlike you I didn't have lovely hubby, had one that spent it all on booze. It's the worse thing in the world, not being able to give your children the things you'd like to, I did (and do) have a lovely family that bailed me out time after time and were DELIGHTED when I finally left the boozer. After 27 years of marriage I divorced and moved in with a LOVELY bloke and am now as happy as Larry (whoever he is)! So keep smiling, you have assets and I can vouch for the nitty gritty comb, it was the only thing that got out the eggs as well as the lice. I used to get the little blighters too - from my daughter and from the school where I worked - some of the little darlings had fleas too!!! (The kids - not the nits!)
Anyhow, there's nothing like getting it off your chest - and everyone is obviously with you. Don't have time to read all replies right now but the ones that I have read are lovely - all the very best to you and yours - and let us know how you get on.
lolOoh, I've gotta little star! What's that for then?!!0
