Just wanted to say thanks for this recommendation - I went in to see them and they were lovely and pretty sure we're going to use them now

Don't suppose you know an equally nice hairdresser nearby... think that's the next thing I need to find!

Hi all,

Im a Yorkshire Bride getting married at The Rock Hotel in Halifax in June 2011.

Not got very far with the planning at the moment as we have changed from marrying abroad to getting married here.

One company I would like to recommend is The Enchanted Wood Weddings www.theenchantedwoodweddings.co.uk I have been dealing with the lady who's business it is and have sorted my chair covers, sashes and have hired a traditional post box from her and her rates were really competetive.

I've got a trial booked with Louise who is based in Batley and does mobile hair and make up. She seems much much cheaper than anyone else I could find, and she's been helpful and quick to reply to email so far.

Think she said for a hair and make up trial for me it would be £40, then on the day for hair and make up for me and one bridesmaid, plus blow dry and make up for mum £83 total I think.

Fingers crossed the trial goes well!!

I'm getting married at Rudding Park near Harrogate in Aug 11- it's a tad on the pricey side- but if you go for the package deal (Thursdays in the summer) which we are doing you can make a saving of £5,000 I don't think I can provide the link as I'm new, but it's worth adding to your list.

I'm having my dress made (and hopefully bridesmaid dresses too) courtesy of Linda Dale from Dress at No 9

I've ordered seat covers from The Enchanted Wood Weddings- which was the most competitive price I could find and still includes delivery and set up etc.

I'm now looking for contacts for hair and makeup. So it would be useful to know what you think of the lady you've found HB81. Although I don't think she covers my area (north leeds)

I have a photographer sorted as a friend is doing it- but would like to get a dvd done- so if anyone has any contacts specifically for taking videos, that would be really helpful

I'll work my way through the cake links provided tomorrow night- this is so much help! yay!
