Then stick to what you know. If it is a picture of the wrong premises, then pipe up. But otherwise, it is a picture of a Registered Office masquerading as someone's home and deserves to be exposed for that.

So exactly what does posting a pic of the registered office achieve??????????

No I can't be bothered looking on a bunch of other websites.

Is it dissolved or trading? You are getting yourself confused.

Excuse me? I'm confused? I think not, my friend. I run my own Ltd company and have to deal with Companies House on a regular basis, so I dont see how its me thats "confused".

Companies House is showing as dissolved, as of April 2010.

BUT, that doesnt mean they cant still "trade". Their website is still up and running, and people are reporting (like the OP) that they are still having issues with this company. It just means they are doing so without being registered legally with Companies House.

And if you have a problem with privacy issues, may I recommend you contact Google Streetview. Companies House keep a record of addresses for reasons like this, so when the company goes rogue you know where their registered office is based!

And, if the director of GCS Worldwide had a problem with it, why did they not use the "SAIL" feature now offered by Companies House? It stands for Single Alternative Inspection Location, meaning that an alternative address (such as a business premises/office) can be given by Companies House, INSTEAD of the director's home address.

To be fair, the registered address may not be that of any Directors home address, it may be the accountants address used as the registered address at the time of incorporation.

It is also possible that the LTD company has ceased trading but a non-limited version of the company is trading and using the website.

This isnt the case though, GCS have not gone to sole-trader/partnership status, because my software checks all that sort of stuff as well.

The 'Ltd' status has been dissolved, and they have just disappeared as far as the paperwork goes.

Fair enough, you clearly have access to information most don't and I defer to your findings. I was just pointing out that Companies house info may only tell a small part of the story.

Correct, there is only a certain amount of 'free' information available, if you want detailed info then you have to pay for reports from Companies House or subscribe to credit management software, like I do for my own business.

I think you are a bit confused.

If a company has been dissolved, then it has been struck off the register. It has stopped functioning and cannot trade. It no longer exists.

If the former directors are using a trading name to carry on business then they are doing it in their personal capacity and any debts or liabilities incurred will be their own. They will no longer be directors of the former Ltd company due to it no longer being in existence.

You cannot check the status of a sole trader or partnership unless it is a LLP (Limited Liability Partnership).

There is no equivalent to Co's House for sole traders or partnerships. GCS could not have "gone" to sole trader or partnership status. It has ceased to exist. Assets (including name) may have been transferred but not GCS itself.

What I am saying is that the software I am using does tell me if a company has gone to "non-limited" status, I cant see complete particulars.

I think you are mis-reading what I am putting in my posts. GCS have now been dissolved, and yes we both agree that they are no longer trading as a LTD company. However, this does not stop them from trading. This is what I am saying. They can still trade, and they still are trading, regardless of wether or not they are an LTD

The people BEHIND GCS can trade, but GCS Limited itself cannot.
