getting a company to tell me their companies house number

hiya folks,
Ta for the replies.None of the domain name sites that were recommended gave me any more information than what I already have.
If you don't have their full corporate details but a trading name and address, send the debtors letter anyway.
I would send a debtor's letter to the trading name and address, but the debtor's template I have informs me that if I use the wrong company name and the sheriff court try to enforce the debtor's letter, then I'll incur costs.
So, the question is,
can someone recommend a template or course of action for exactly my scenario?Ideally someone who's been in a similar scenario.
many thanks,
yogi0 -
As previously mentioned, what is the company's web domain?0
-
hiya,
I'm obviously not keen to mention the company domain name on the off-chance that someone on the forums knows them.
There must be a definitive way to find the registered company name via their domain name or address.
It's the year 2010, I have their domain name and company address...Surely, surely that must be enough for me to somehow obtain their registered company name / number?
Thanks,
yogi0 -
Suit yourself, I just thought that someone here might be able to look up the owner of the domain for you. Is it a .uk domain, have you done a Nominet whois search or try here - http://whois.domaintools.com/0

Unless they are a limited company they will not be registered with Companies House.
Possibly a trade organisation though?0 -
So what is the domain name?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

What do you actually mean by a "debtors letter"? A Court claim?
If it is a small claims matter then there are rarely cost sanctions. I think you need to give more details...or get proper legal advice.0 -
He doesn't want to tell us or take any advice. I think we're wasting our time with this guy.maninthestreet wrote: »So what is the domain name?0 -
Yogiberr, the free Companies house info will only show the registered address and info regarding the last date of accounts etc etc and only if it is a Ltd company.
Surely you must have some kind of contact details for the Company if there is a debt in place?
You really need to either give us the domain name or post a link to the website.... really. Even if its BigWobbleyBoobies.com or such like...we won't judge....much;)Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0 -
hiya,
No, I'm not wasting people's time.I have taken the advice of looking up the company name on domains and contacted companies house.
If you don't have their full corporate details but a trading name and address, send the debtors letter anyway.
Ok, where do i get the template for this debtor's letter? The one I have needs the actual company trading name?
