A note has been added to the first post - looks like it's been extended, fantastic!!
EDIT: But I can't find the offer on the website, can anyone else?0 -
Just phoned them to see what was what. They confirmed that the offer was extended, but he needed to requote me with the gym offer rather than use the quote I got on the site. So he confirmed my details and requoted me.
He has given me a new ref number to retrieve the quote (same price) and this is what I will use when I go through quidco this evening (cannot get on quidco at work).
Just thought that might help anyone else who couldn't see the extended offer on the site as I certainly can't, looks like you may have to phone first to get the offer added to your quote.0 -

I just went down to Cannons to join, explained Pruhealth were paying and just filled out a form. I had to phone Pruhealth to get it activated. The woman at Cannons seems to think I'm paying Pruhealth £25 for the membership but it's only £19.
Let me get something straight. For 6 months gym membership I pay Pruhealth £138.40 (18.90 per month + 25 activation fee when I cancel). I could have gone through Quidco and got £115 back thus paying £23.40 for 6 months membership or £3.90 a month? Is that right?0 -
Cos quidco was offering £115!!It's all under control!:beer:0

hi all,
i have teh pruhealth insurance at £18 each month so, it will be 18x7=126+25(7th month gym payment)=£151.
however, it appears that i also need to pay £25 activation fee
"Choose a membership type and contact us we will ask you for your credit card or debit card details for payment of the 25 activation fee. We will also need your direct debit details for the monthly payment.
so thats 151+25=£176 for 7mnths membership and insurance.
No happy at the latest news though, Virgin has bought out Holmes Place. My gym costs £62 per month but, people have said virgin go for cheaper rates i.e £25!! I still get a ggod deal, just not as good as originally.
I contacted Pru and got the following response.
"Virgin Active announced their intention to buy the Holmes Place group yesterday. We are unsure how this will affect PruHealth policyholders who have an active Holmes Place gym membership. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that you are able to continue taking advantage of our Vitality programme and discounted gym memberships. Please be aware that this sale must first be approved by the UK Competitions Board and this will take approximately three months."0 -
Just spoke to a lady at Pru Health and she said taht in the terms and conditions the first line says that if you cancel within the 12months Pru can charge you for up to £350!!
i was under the impression that after 7months i could cancel this health insurance!!!
help please!!!0 -
i'm thinking the zero tracking quidco issue *could* just be because my policy isn't actually active yet - i've tried logging on as a member - because I delayed my start date to the end of sept to see out my old gym membership... maybe this is the experience of others too?0

These are the terms for standard membership:
https://www.pruhealth.co.uk/prunewbusiness/quote/terms.do
Nothing in there at all about a minimum term. I also have the terms for the Cannons offer on file, the only mention of a penalty for cancelling is the £25 activation fee.0
