So has anyone actually joined their gym for free using the Pru health offer- and if so how did they go about it?0
-
I phoned up PruHealth after receiving my welcome pack and confirmation of annual apyment. I obviously did not want to pay for a whole years premium up front as I'm intending to cancel after 6 months and requested monthy payment.
They made the adjustment for me and I asked when the policy becomes active. They said it had started on the day I applied (19th August). I asked when I should expect the gym membership and the very helpful man on the phone said that he could give me the details there and then. If I hadn't asked then I may not have heard any more about it.
He told me to phone my chosen Holmes Place and give them a PruHealth reference number which he gave me. Holmes Place then gave me an ID number which I phoned back to PruHealth. They then asked when I would like my HP membership to start, I said asap. He told me it would start the next day and I just had to take my PruHealth red card which was in my welcome pack along with the HP membership number to Holmes Place and that was that.
My membership therefore starts 13 days after my health plan commenced but I'll still make sure I cancel my policy after 6 months and will lose 13 days gym membership.
The PruHealth man said he could have applied for my Holmes Place membership number for me but that would have taken at least 3 working days. It's really important to phone them up asap as you'll lose gym membership days for the money that you've paid from the start day of your PruHealth policy.
I submitted an enquiry to quidco and it is now being tracked.
It has a ˜ next to September which I believe is an estimated payment date.0 -
Oh yes, I should say that quidco are tracking it as £115.

Have you actually read this thread???
The amount of people on here asking what to do about this and what to do about that. The answers are all on this forum!!! Read!!!!!
For Quidco, how about submitting an enquiry????0 -
Gutted that I missed out on this - I saw it originally and ignored it as I'm not close enough to either of those gyms, but now turns out I have a new job close to a Cannons in central London (and not one of the excluded ones) so I could have taken up the offer after all!
I know this is a repeat of the same offer in Februrary, so any hopes they will do it again?0 -
