Hi all,
Well done again to the losers-some amazing losses!
Well I knew i was going to have a dodgy week this week-it was my little one's 4th birthday so we had parties and house guests galore, with the obligatory takeaway, cake, party food, cake, trifle and cake! I am therefore amazed I had a STS! I REALLY REALLY can't afford to keep doing this though-although I'm happier with how I look (I actually allowed my dad, who's a photographer, to take pics of me, hubby and little one for the first time in ages!), I need to get on the beach in August and that's still a very scary prospect!
So onwards and downwards again next week!

Well my mum has posted me my bridesmaid dress from my cousin's wedding 6 years ago, and it fits perfectly. :j Really pleased because I'm pretty sure I was 15st7lb when that was made so I've obviously lost weight. Bf hates the dress though, so still dress hunting down oxford street tomorrow night:(
Went for one of my runs tongiht but had to come home early with runners runsFeeling really really disheartened about the running - it's just sooo hard!

yay to getting back into the dress, i've got my bridesmaid dress from my sisters wedding almost 14 years ago and i bet i'll never squeeze into it again, at the moment i'm saving it for the skirt which is cream silk and would make a fab christening gown if a miracle ever happened and we had a sproglet.0

Hey,
In regards to your running, when did you start running? How far have you been running? What is your route like, eg grass, road running, lots of hills, flat, etc
The key to running is to start low and work your way up as your body starts to adapt to running. You need to start on a distance you know you can run and when this becomes to easy and you start finishing the run in quicker times up the distance slightly. That way your motivated to go running and can see your getting better and will see the benefits much more, heading straight into long runs that are too difficult makes people dishearted and eventually they give up.0 -

Hi everyone
Bills, I started out on the couch to 5k running program but after a few re-starts I have switched to the 10k training plan that came in my race for life booklet. I'm doing a 10k race for life in July and the the Great North Run in September . I'm at week 1 at the minute, which is run 2 mins, walk 3 mins for 20 mins. My boyfriend has done me some podcasts which are really helpful but it's so hard. I really don't think I am cut out to be a runner, but I have always wanted to do the GNR and I know I'll be so proud when I cross the finish line. Mild panic because there's only 10 weeks until the 10k, but the training plan is a 6 week one so I hoping I manage it! Just got to make sure that I run 3 times every week until the big day and hopefully i'll be ok:A0 -
Well I weighed myself today - I've put on another 2 lb. I am not bothering with the scales again as it's a waste of time. I feel slimmer, my clothes aren't a bit more snug (which I can normally feel when I've put a couple of lb's on) so my conclusion is that this is water retention or something to do with the mirena coil. What ever it is I am not worrying about it - I am going to focus on how I look rather than what I weigh. For that reason I probably won't join next month since the focus of the thread is to lose 7lbs!
Good luck with your endeavours for the rest of the monthI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Well I have no idea what i've done different this time but today i'm 152 lbs, so thats just 0.1 off loosing 2lbs in a week
I've also lost 1/2 inch off my hips and waist. I think it has something to do with spending 12 hours in the garden the last 2 days. I was going to go out there again today but my back is starting to niggle again so I won't chance it. Already I feel alot better though!
Just off to order my shopping from Sainsburys now, have no idea what to buy thoughx
