I bought some new scales which record all sorts (body fat, water, visceral fat etc) and then you plug a USB dongle in and link up to the PC and you can see stats every time you weigh yourself- I'm calling it motivation!! :D

    I call that scary

Well done on losing the weight and the ciggies! :j

Thank you :) I'm a bit of a control freak so quite like the accuracy of the scales even though I'm not always keen on the result :rotfl:I do find it motivates me to do something about it though. Only problem is I've got into weighing myself every day which I know you're not supposed to do but I am looking at it over the week and not just day to day.

Other motivation is the thought of myself in a bikini looking as I do now... lumpy, bumpy and very white... not attractive! Versus how I would like to look (okay Angelina Jolie is never going to happen but I can try :D)

well after my 1500 calories the other day there is no way I could face that again :o I felt horrible and constantly hungry. I think regular exercise and stopping snacking and portion sizes is the way for me. OK it will probably take a long time but quite frankly that's preferable to feeling hungry all the time.

I put on a couple of lb's over BH weekend (how shocking I know :o), weighed myself today and have lost a pound so heading back to where I was originally. Again. :o

Tara, I cooked a full english breakfast for my OH today - I was nearly drooling over it but I only stole a little bit of bacon off his plate. Id have loved to eat it but it would have been about 20 minutes of pleasure and a whole day of being angry with myself.

Bacon is my weakness too - I love it!

Have replaced it with Quorn bacon bits though - whilst not amazing, you get the taste for like 3g fat per 100g i think it is. They're lovely :)

Oh gawd, yes, shorts, its SO long since I wore those - at least 5 years. How lovely that would be on a hot summer day, instead of the usual jeans and jumper :( Be honest guys, isnt that worth not eating those cakes and chips? When we get to our decent weight we can have a blow out now and then but keep vigilant so we dont have to go through this again!

Oh god yes! I haven't worn skirts/dresses since school! I have four dresses now and four skirts - 1 of which I'm going to wear for my brothers wedding in August cos I am NOT going to be the one hiding and overheating in trousers and big heavy top! Need to get the old legs a bit more coloured too :rotfl: I'm reflecting at the minute :rotfl:

Need to lose some more to get in all except one of each - so it's a good motivation :)
Been thinking about getting a Wii. does anyone have it? thoughts??

It's so much fun! I found it as quite a good work out as you have so much fun that you forget you're doing it to lose weight!

Don't be tricked into getting Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus though, if you can get the balance board and wii fit plus seperatley (or in a bundle, you prob can now) you've got all you need :D

All the games from the first wii fit are on the wii fit plus disk - but on the wii fit plus disk you get extras :)

Lost two pound :D a quarter of the way there :)

I thought I could buy a small bar of green and blacks and keep it in my bag all day for an afternoon snack.

    I was wrong:EasterBun

Note to self, you have no self control, stop buying food to keep for later, it never works.

Down another pound :) or two - depending on where the scale is placed it seems! Not bad considering it's TOTM too :o

Hi and well done to everyone who has lost weight.
My weigh in was this morning and I have PUT ON 1.1lb. I was a bit disapppointed but I am going to try and lose it, and more, before next week´s weigh in. I am wondering if it is because some of the fat is turning to muscle as I´m walking so much as I do feel thinner and haven´t pigged out, with the exception of a few glasses of wine last weekend?
I´m going to pilates later. I only go once a week as I can´t afford more (or find the time) but I find it helps my frame of mind and I feel leaner after a good stretch. I get a lot of exercise as I walk to and from work, walk the dog etc and OH said the bum of my jeans looks baggy now, which is great news.
Someone on here mentioned wearing shorts in the summer: Even when I was slim I didn´t look good in shorts as I have chunky knees and thighs, but I do find I look fairly good in pencil style skirts as they are flattering if your lower legs are more or less ok and you wear heels with them.
Treeny_bash:Been there and done that: you just have to stop buying food if you can´t keep it until later or only buy healthy snacks. I am going to take a banana to work with me this afternoon as I know that otherwise I will be ravenous by the time I get home.
    Have a good day everyone.
