That one puts me in the severely obese range!
I literally have half my bodyweight to loose...
What a depressing thought!
 My target is by christmas at the latest to no longer be classed as severely obese/morbidly obese and just be obese! *need roll eyes smiley here*:rotfl:
I'm hoping to get to work ~30 mins earlier and hence be able to leave 30 mins earlier and walk part of my route home (~1.6 miles=30 mins) as often as I can without me getting home too late (and risking buying rubbish on the way home as I'm hungry!). So far this month I walked 4 miles on Sunday and ~1.6miles yesterday.
You can do it :T:T:T I set a target of dropping 200lbs this year (god its still damn hard to admit this ..), being able to look at yourself in a mirror and accept what needs to be done is a big step in the right direction and it sounds like your doing all the right things, all this walking is great :j:j:j
Breaking your goal down into monthly achievable targets like this a fantastic idea.
I wrote a little guide which may or may not be of interest to you

Thanks for that Eric.
I do have to be careful with what changes I make on the food front as I have had an eating disorder on and off since I was 12. (most recently finished treatment a year ago). I think making healthy, balanced, lower fat food choices in appropriate portion sizes + exercise is the way forward for me personally I think. I suspect I'd become rather too obssessed to be healthy (mentally) if I start counting calories/points and obsessing about doing well (or rather beating myself up about not managing to follow a particular diet!).
(I mean no offence to anyone counting calories/points etc. If it works for you great! Its just that I know I can become unhealthily obssessed about food related things so I don't want to risk it!
)
Looks like I only managed an extra 0.9miles walking yesterday due to an emergency trip to the dentist. Oh well... 19.7 miles to go!(I'm only counting walking I don't normally do eg walking home instead of getting the bus)
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

one of the big things I have realised is that we are all very different and the most important thing is to find a system that works for you with your lifestyle
just one thing try not to cut out the healthy poly and mono fats / oils, they really are very good for you0 -
Wowza! I'm not on for a couple of days (*cough* a week *cough*) and we have twice the number of members and four more pages! Welcome to everyone new and returning and great to see you all
Bank holiday day weekend was the local pubs beer festival (and Dr Dragon really wanted to go and it would have been churlish to stay at home) - I've been put on more tablets where the side effect is weight gain but I will not let it beat me and I WILL get there!
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I got a wii last week.
I got wii fit and wii sports resort.
I find the ''freestepping'' thing, quite good, because I use it when I would normally have second sit down of the day. The best cardio though, that I've used so far is the obstacle course game.
To do 30 mins on wii actualy takes me about 45-50 mins, chaning between games.
And it really wants to weigh you everyday. I find this hard...mine looks like a mountain range, up down, up, down.
I only did five mins this morning, but will try and do 30 ins later. I like that its small enough to leave set up. I do not think it is as good for weight loss as a good old fashioned cardio based exercise vid/dvd...mainly because of the stop/start nature of it...but its fun and is keeping me moving. I like I can do 5-10 mins of something between other things...even if not cardio.0 -

It's a miracle! Have lost 1lb despite a bank holiday binge. Hopefully this will inpire me to get back on the straight and narrow.0

Thank you for adding me to the list. Somehow since last Friday I have lost 3lbs
somewhat confused as I stuffed my face with pizza on Sunday. I bought some new scales which record all sorts (body fat, water, visceral fat etc) and then you plug a USB dongle in and link up to the PC and you can see stats every time you weigh yourself- I'm calling it motivation!!
I am also fairly amazed as I am on my second day of quitting smoking... we'll see how the weight loss and smoking goes!![STRIKE]Saving for a deposit on a flat[/STRIKE]

I have lost a whopping 1/4 pound this week!
I'm near final target though so it's as expected.0
