    Ants in the compost bin generally do no harm (though sometimes it means your compost bin is a wee bit too dry so try chucking some water and mix well) and will usually move on if you give the compost a good old shoogle with a garden fork regularly, they hate to be disturbed and will move on. It's when they are all over my plants that annoy me just knowing they will be protecting aphids drives me up the wall. I think I will try the semolina solution ans if that fails a visit to B&Q for a chemical weapon.

    Stumpy i'm in Monifeith and mine have lovely greem strawbs on them. I wouldn't of thought there would of been much difference

    Mine still in flower up here, I have some very tasteful net curtains ready for them LOL! My kale is doing well, gettign reallly big and bushy. Just not very sure what hell to do with it now... !

    I haven't planted my Kale yet...going to wait until next week so I have some crops overwinter!

    How tough is it Wssla ? I have bad winters. It would be handy if I could grow it but I doubt it..
