Their website isn't loading at the moment, so I don't know if they're still going, but GeoISP (www.geoisp.co.uk) have an 020 access number, instead of 0845/0870. So, if you get free minutes, you can probably use these to access the net for free. Alternatively, if you sign up to 18185.co.uk, calling an 020 number would be free anyway.0

You didnt say which website wasn't loading? But in fact I just tried, and both are loading.0 -

I've been using geoisp for some months now.
There has always been some problems with random disconnections. For the last few weeks it has been getting much worse. The last couple of weeks have, in general, been awful. The disconnections seem to occur every couple of minutes, often less.
Today has been the worse so far but the current connection has so far lasted over 7 minutes - hooray!
Is it just me or is geoisp cracking up?0 -
is it possible to just sign up for a month? or is it a 12 month contract?0

Hi there,
I'm staying at my mother's no-broadband house  for week or two and need to be able to check e-mail, online bank etc so am taking laptop and a 56k cable.
There seem to be quite a few pay as you go dial ups out there - any recommendations?0 -
I used Tesco for a long time pre broadband days but the price of any dial up does depend on the time of day you use it.0

I've had little or no problem with Fast4 and have used Geo with 1899 quite successfully although guess that would need a BT line and registering with 1899. Good luck0

Thanks for replies so far. Think I was being a bit naive - I was expecting 1p per minute or similar not having to pay a monthly subscription. It's going to end up costing more than broadband!
Anybody know one that's free to use apart from call charges? It's only a for a few minutes a day for a week or two.0
