Mcdonag - was going to ask you...did you call HO about all the stores you visited yesterday? If so, did they not ask why you had tried to purchase the same items in three different stores, knowing that you would be overcharged after the first store? Have you had any news yet?

    Hiya,

I will answer you after HO have contacted me this morning if you don't mind.

I have spoken to them again and they are going to call me back shortly.

No worries...as far as I am concerned, it's a definite overcharge and R&R should apply (regardless of the value of the goods). Dann said that if the store can prove you purposely bought the item knowing you were going to be overcharged, that R&R should not apply. I agree with him on this. However, it's almost impossible to prove that. I'm just hoping that you haven't inadvertently alerted HO to the fact that you knew you'd be overcharged in the second and third stores when you contacted them about all three stores.

1st store - bought psp giga pack & ps2 black with standard games.
    2nd store - 360 & ps2 silver with games of the week.
3rd store - psp base with cars.

got overcharged on everything. My complaint is that the manager of store one treated me really badly and as a result I returned the goods as a result of his bad customer service. I tried to but similar from store two only to be overcharged again. They offered 2 games free but I declined and got full refund once more. Went to my local store and similar thing happened but I kept the goods and now awaiting HO reply.

    MSN me for more details.

  • I've been to 3 Tesco stores in my area, no SELs for any of the £10 off games bundles.. Do we assume that all stores have been informed of the misprice this morning?

Don't have MSN, I'm afraid...I don't bother with any messengers now. PM me through here is the best I can do. :)

Sorry to be stupid but is this correct that the discount for the 360 is not going through even with the game of the week ?

I wouldn't assume anything where Tesco is concerned. As said previously, communication is not the company's strong point. ;)

Coventry Cross Point had the offer on, but I didn't try it as I wasn't confident of R&R last night. Went out this morning to try in 2 other stores, but offer not on. Is ity EXTRA's only?

What happens if the SEL is out of date - do you still get the R&R?
