Load of rubbish. You should have stuck to your guns and demanded that head office be called. They would have backed down and given you r&r.

    Give HO a ring anyway.

They DID refund the money but the cs guy muttered under his breath about not being applicable to special promotions when I mentioned the promise. I think I got away with it cos the amount was small and my item was on reduced price rather than a special promo - also because I think I sounded a bit angry at that time and he wanted to avoid any issues :)

However, I think that any R&Rs on special promos will not be honoured there. Rather than call HO I would like to write a long email blasting them about such a policy but wanted to know whether this is legally possible. Also if someone can post the email address that I am most likely to get results with

Definitely do the email, this store is being very underhand in my view!

I have never seen anything extra stuck on to the price promise and I reckon your email will get it removed and shame the store with HO.

Can't recall the email address but it may be one to send direct to Sir Terry Leahy (can anyone oblige with his email, has been posted before on the old thread but no time to trawl thru' it, sorry!).:o
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Its in the second post of this thread. Worth speaking to the duty manager at the store first, imo, for an explanation of what the exclusion is supposed to mean.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Wow, these Tesco threads have blown me away.....I'd no idea there's people virtually making a living out of Tesco mis-pricing.

I might not be so reluctant to go shopping with 'er indoors in the future :j

  • Hi , I am still seeking my 1st R+R so am not entirely sure of rules , my local branch has an offer on wine today , reduced to £3.99 , offer ends 22/08/06.
Would i be right in thinking if i go to this store after midnight tonight and offer label is still on show, i purchase and am charged the full price (as offer now expired and till been auto-updated with new full price). Would this qualify as an R+R
thanks in advance for any help

    Yes - But!
I'm sure the prices at the till update later than that. Probably 6am ish to give the staff time to remove the labels overnight.
Please ask questions on the "Misprices discussion thread" next time.
This thread is only for posting actual misprices!

Yes....I would buy a dozen at least.....but try and scan one first, just to make sure.......an earlier post in the forum showed a CS ASSISTANT complaining to someone that the tills updated at midnight, but there were no staff in at that time to change the SEL's...............but I would still scan one to be sure(or go to the self service checkout with one).

If I'm right they do allow for an overlap but nowhere near six hours more like two or three, what I'm not sure of is when the overlap starts.

just got finest lamb boneless rolled loin joint
sel was £7.49/kg, pack price was £15.89/kg other packs were also different, some said 12.99/kg and 7.79/kg
sel actually said finest lamb boneless rolled shoulder but after some gentle persuasion and manager being called got r&r on two packs.
    thanks mr T

I think youve been really lucky there...sounds like 2 different items to me.......Loin is much more expensive than shoulder............

    Evening,
Does anyone know what is going on witht the honeydew melons ?
I managed to get one on R&R last week, thanks to a poster. Scanned about £1.28 or £1.38 I think, but they still had a BIG yellow sign for 99p.
Since then all sels seem to be £1.28/£1.38. But in last couple of days, I have seen in 2 stores now ( without a working self-scanner) sign for 99p again.
I am visiting another Tescos tomorrow, will try to find their scanner to check - will post on the other thread if I get a home run!!!:p
