Some stores have 24 hour licenses, but very few.

Anyway...what the poster was suggesting would not work anyway, even if it was not booze.

Can you please explain why you think it would not work? As previous "posters" have overheard CS staff complaining about this.

The system isn't updated on the stroke of midnight. So, if you go in at say 1am, chances are the tills will still scan at the offer price.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

    quick question

if you're lucky enough to not get your receipt marked, can you return your item to any Tesco store or does it have to be the same to get a cash refund?

Also - what is their return policy on Bluletooth headsets?

    Thank you all.:T
After feeling very despondant about the lack of R&R's in my local Tescos, today I hit paydirt. Nothing new, just some of the mis-prices that have been around for a while, but I could never find.
    Just goes to show -
1)that ALL Tesco stores arn't keeping their peepers on this site
    2) Perseverance does pay off
    3) If your locals never seem to have any R&R opportunities - try another store. Amazing what a difference a couple of miles makes to the sels ;)

Only last night I was saying how much time I waste, and money I spend on "Saving" money.....but today I have a smile on my face ! :D

I feel like an addict who has just had his fix !! I'm on an adrelaline high !

BTW. Tesco staff couldn't have been nicer. I even got a smile with the refund!!

Hello, just had a thought......maybe this is just a dream and I will wake up in a minute

Welcome to R&R. What did you get?

Because there is a difference between the time the SEL's are changed and the time the price on the system is altered, to give the store time to make the changes. Any problem a store has with that process is a local issue, not national.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

    Good morning joshtbh,

yeah, you can take it back to get another refund....although that would obviously be VERY dishonest.

Constantine's remark that it wouldn't work was in reference to a post on the misprices thread which asked about going in after midnight. That's why I mentioned it. You can take it as "fact" that the system does not update immediately in order to allow the store the chance to change the SELs.

In future, I won't bother helping you in any way, as your posts are aggressive and ungrateful in tone.

    Hi Dai,

Can you take stuff back to any Tesco or has it got to be the one you bought it from?

Any Tesco, as long as you have the receipt.
