Maybe the 1987 Consumer Protection Act doesn't apply to special promotion items either?
Unless you hadn't noticed it doesn't apply to Tesco

  • i bought another honey dew melon.....as i seen the sign for 98p...and thought there might be another glitch..... but it did go throught at the right price.....
i dont mind as we do buy melon anyway......

so looks as though they have sorted that one out.......also had a look at the cd's mentioned.... but the local extra must be on the ball.. as they were all correct....

plus the lipstick that was mentioned maybelline... sign says 2.37 on offer from 4.7 something... even though it showed that on the recipt.. it came off as mulitbuys... as i queryed it as i bought 2... as i thought it might have been on bogof as well... but no..... but i feel that might not be true...

so has anyone else had this......
Work to live= not live to work
  • there was a question asked by someone on the mis-price thread....
i didnt want to add to that there...so i am doing it here..... surely if its wine... you can not buy it at the early hours of the morning... due to licencing laws or does tescos now serve alcahol 24/7:confused:

so if i am right its not worth going at 2 -3 in the morning, as they wouldnt serve you anyway:confused:

Some stores have 24 hour licenses, but very few.

Anyway...what the poster was suggesting would not work anyway, even if it was not booze.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

I think they do - because I have just been in Tesco, and the alcohol isn't barricaded off the way it used to be. :j

I've just chanced across this thread and am finding it very interesting. Could anyone answer me this please- how are people checking their items for possible discrepancies? Are they putting everything through scanners or just being eagle-eyed with the labels?

Buying booze depends on each store. In Swansea they stop selling at 11pm however if you drive a couple of miles to their Extra store (llansamlet or Fforestfach) it's 24hrs. CHEERS!!!

Its a bit of both, early in my r+r career I would go to stores alot and keep an eye on prices more of the stuff I bought so I would know what was going on and could notice any changes. once you see somthing change you just take the item to one of the scanners and check the price from the shelf or product and see if they match or not.

Most stores have the price check scanners just do recon mission before you go lugging an item round the store to check the price, I know the locations of the scanners in my local stores that have them. If there are no scanners find a bored checkout and just as them to check the price for you, dont take it to customer services though.

You can also change your mind on an item at the checkout if you see it scan corectly or in the case of stickered items the opperator notices the prices and adjusts it. just dont go buying every mispriced item and nothing else they wont be very happy and your chances of getting them free are reduced.

    Hello,

I got home last night to find that Tesco had delivered my wine order but had
got it mixed up with someone else's - in essence I have been provided with a cheaper case of wine for the same price. It also looks like I have got incorrectly charged as I have 2 invoices - neither of them are correct.

Rang CS last night and spoke to a really rude woman who told me that my order had got mixed up and been delivered with another order elsewhere.

She told me that they would have to retrieve the order and then give me the case that I should have had!!!! So they are going to knock on someone's door and retrieve my wine and then pass it back to me!!!

Is it me or is this really bad customer service!!! Hopefully the lucky person will have drank it all by the time they get round to it!!!

Apparently I have got to wait for the store manager to ring me back as the woman at CS couldn't do anything!!!!

    Disappointed!!!!

    Thank you all.:T
After feeling very despondant about the lack of R&R's in my local Tescos, today I hit paydirt. Nothing new, just some of the mis-prices that have been around for a while, but I could never find.
    Just goes to show -
1)that ALL Tesco stores arn't keeping their peepers on this site
    2) Perseverance does pay off
    3) If your locals never seem to have any R&R opportunities - try another store. Amazing what a difference a couple of miles makes to the sels ;)

Only last night I was saying how much time I waste, and money I spend on "Saving" money.....but today I have a smile on my face ! :D

I feel like an addict who has just had his fix !! I'm on an adrelaline high !

BTW. Tesco staff couldn't have been nicer. I even got a smile with the refund!!

Hello, just had a thought......maybe this is just a dream and I will wake up in a minute
