Bought two BT Zenith Dect phones last night at Silverburn, SEL £89.95 scanned at £99.95. CS desk was closing but they immediately removed the SEL and asked me to come back today to see the manager. I insisited on a photocopy of the SEL with my receipt and also took a pic. Went back today, lots of ohs and ahs and that's a big refund. Duty manager asked me if I had left the store before noticing - I said not likely having been overcharged by £20 I noticed before they had even got the phones from the stock room. Refund of £199.90 and the CS lady acted like it was coming out of her pocket. I said "thanks, I love Tesco it's my favourite store". Big smiles and big thanks to pinkpinkfizz for the original post.

When I said I hadn't left the store the duty manager said she had to go and check something I would be back. Anyone else had this nonsense about leaving the store? As far as I'm concerned as soon as I've paid and got the stock in my hands that's it.

Got 2 more packs of the Shetland Isle Salmon today because it had been calling to me every time I went down the fish aisle...had ignored it until now. Last got this R&R nearly a month ago when I first posted it, they did remove the SEL then but obviously not for long!

Nice young chap on CS tried to say it 'may be a different product' as the SEL doesn't say 'pack of 2'!! I raised my eyebrows and said, 'I don't think you sell any other Shetland Isle Salmon, and anyway the barcode matches...'

He had a look and looked a bit surprised, I said well I used to work in a small Tesco briefly, 15 years ago, so I'm very eagle-eyed with barcodes and prices per kg! By the way everyone I didn't ever work in Tesco, just felt I shown myself as being a bit too eagle-eyed. It worked, he coughed up the R&R of nearly £9 and removed the SEL....for now....;)

had a look for the phones today but couldnt find one. did notice there USB phones offer finished today 20/08/06 so might be one to watch in the morning

Taking one therefore would be useless unless you had access to the updates and found some means of recharging it.

They are not much use without an ID and Password, let alone some training on how they work.

I would really advise against stealing a PDA, it would be worthless to you. As they cost the store C.£700 to replace, you may find they get tense with you if you are caught trying to lift one.

Depending on the application, they have a live connection to the main system.

I'm in Sussex too, and have yet to find my first R&R. :mad: My local shop seems to be really on the ball. Saying that I only get in there once a week. Maybe I need to made more visits

If I see any Aero Truffles when I go visiting Tesco's I'll let you know

no wallace and gromit to be seen in my store stickered or not will try other local one later
