Actually the keyword is complacency, if the company is not seen to be doing all that is reasonably expectable and achievable to ensure price integrity it can be viewed as contrivance the question is are they?

nowhere in the definition of fraud is the word complacency....and i am certainly not going into semantics again.

From the legal point of view the documentation is there to prove that much is being done to ensure price integrity. There are and always will be errors, be they commited at store level or head office level, i am certain though that not one of them is intentional.

With all due respect my refunds will not on its own affect company profits. my refund is the tip of a very large iceberg and the profits made by Tesco are excessive. i dont accept this argument in practice. maybe on a smaller scale!

its like my work colleage having a go at me for getting bank charges refunded. whether i did or did not get them refunded will not make the bank change their mind. you have jump on the bandwagon.
Many people on this site and thread maintain that there are a huge amount of refund going on due to this sites exposure of the R&R policy.....if there is a huge amount of refunds then it will affect company profits....

With the banks, their policies will eventually change with the more people that claim their charges back, financially it will not be worth the initial high penalties that the banks insist on charging.....jumping on the bandwagon....are we all lemmings now??

You alone have taken £179 from the company since 26/7, that is a dent in the profits...a miniscule one granted but a dent none the less.

One more point...another person who says the profits Tesco make are excessive but continues to contribute to them.

I can agree to disagree, and I do accept that of recent there is far more effort being put into rectifying errors.

Together we can make a difference.
  • I think that the amount that I have R+Red altogether probably equals the amount of profit that my family gives to Tesco. None of them are into R+R and couldnt care less. I suppose as a unit, my family would break even, and thats how I justify it. And lets not kid ourselves, for every R+R, look down the checkouts and see the tills ringing in the profits. Weren't Tesco profits something like 2bn a quarter or something ridiculous like that?

just a little food for thought ( excuse the pun )

for every £8.00 spend on groceries..nationally...£1. is spent at tescos....
it might even be more now...as those figures were issued a while ago....

Weren't Tesco profits something like 2bn a quarter or something ridiculous like that?

2.2bn for last financial year...if it was per quarter i would be loving the share dividend!!
