I have yet again contacted vodafone as they have requested.
I will let you all know when the tell me i am wrong, they are right and basically
TOUGH LUCK WE LIED AND YOUR STUCK WITH US!!!!!!!0 -
thanks guys dad, have just got wife a contract on vf so this is a nice bonus as she is on 24mth contract
If i was you i would cancel and look elsewhere.
Vodafone just tell you what you want to hear then deny that they ever sold you that deal because there incompetent staff cant put it on your account0 -
That seems to be the usual pattern - I would never accept any deal from this company (or most others) unless I had it in writing first. It seems the sales people are given carte blanche to promise what they like regardless of what they deliver.0

I know so frustrating.
O2 had a deal on, so i phoned voda up because i was already a customer.
they agreed to match the deal after the usual garbage of saying i'm going to leave
Then they didnt make any note of it so im the one thats in the wrong now
As if i would take a worse deal with them for the same price than a better deal with O2
Wish i had gone with O2 now
Voda wont admit they are wrong and want me to pay an extra £5 per month for the original deal.
LIES LIES LIES
As if £5 a month is a big deal for them when they are in the wrong
Stuck with them and their lies until June0 -
Unfortunately as long as there is a constant flow of people who believe what they are told the company has no reason to discourage the dishonesty; my impression is that it encourages it because it obviously pays them (in the short term - and business, like so much else nowadays, is all about short term).0

I can sympathise with the OP, I was promised that if I renewed/took out a 24 month contract that my phone would be under warranty the whole time. Foolishly (as I now realise) I took the sales person at their word. When I phoned up a few weeks ago to say that I was having problems with my handset I was told that there was no written record of a 24 month warranty, and that all phones are 12 month warranty only.
I also tried to get the original phone call pulled up, but like you, this doesn't seem to be possible, even though it was their suggestion that I did so!
I am still trying to decide what to do about this, as my contract doesn't expire til Jan 2011. Despite having been with Vodafone for more years than I care to remember I will be leaving at the earliest opportunity, even if I have to wait til next January.
Vodafone will cover you for manufacturing faults for the full 24 months unless it's physical or water damage even then sometimes we've sent the phone off repair those cases because the customer has insisted.
The only phone that doesn't have 24 months on a 24 months contract is the Iphone which only has 12 months.
Unless you signed a 2 year contract with your original phone from a previous upgrade then the phone has no warranty as it ran out when the previous contract ended.March Wins

There USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I have often been curious about just how effective the Vodafone reps on here really are. Regrettably, many posters do not let us know whether or not their problems have been solved by the "super-reps" who come in with the platitudes and requests to contact them, but no further dialog.
Having dual service with Orange and Vodafone, I can honestly say that Orange have been superb every time I needed anything but I have yet to test Vodafone, although they managed to completely !!!! up my simple PAC transfer when I moved from a parked ASDA PAYG holding service (I transferred out of T-Mobile when I changed jobs and needed to keep my number) which needed 3 trips to the Vodafone shop to resolve. Oh, and my partner's daughter lost her old number when they cocked up her PAC code change too - both codes being available before commencement of Vodafone service.
If I have any hassle at all, I will move to O2 as I have a rolling 30-day sim contract with my Vodafone service.0 -
Hi mattbang,
We understand your frustration with this and are not trying to ignore you in any way.
We contact everyone who we receive an email off. It may be there has been some sort of issue with it getting to our team. The WRT135 needs to be as the title, as that is what routes it to our team.
You should then receive an automated response, with a reference number back. Did you receive this email? If you haven’t, can you please resend it to us, as we really want to assist you with this matter.
All the best,
Andy
