So if you don't get a paper bill you get an electronic one. Do you not read that?

My bill states my Tarrif, currently

    CTRA 150 +50%EM+18M
    250 Text
    £5 mobint data bundle

thats 225 minutes and 250 text with internet.

It's clearly on my bill, and if I look online it's there too. It's not hidden, you don't seem to have checked.

Ann's right, seven months into a contract and as you don't appear to have checked your bills you really don't have much to go on. if you'd noticed after the first or second month that would be difference but thats not the case. Remember there is a duty of care on you as well as the mobile co to ensure any contract is correct and correct it ASAP.

It probably a mistake, I doubt it's deliberate mailice (despite Mobilejunkies comments), reme
mbering that *ALL* the mobileco's have these "horror" stories. Each one has millions of accounts of course there will be issues now and again, also remember if people get good service they will rarely come and post about how good it was, people just tend to recall bad events which is why they seem to common.

    .
The fact of the matter is they lied to get me to take out a contract.
And no i dont check my electronic bill every month
because i was told verbaly what i was getting and there i felt no need to check it. Now i know i should as you cannot trust there word
If it is a MISTAKE then why wont they admit it and give me what they said they would.
I agree that they have millions of account so they should concentrate on keeping customers happy so there would be no need to post on these forums.
Happy to take your money and screw you when they can.

Whilst I agree with the first part, time invested in reading the dozens of similar cases on this site with this company would lead me to conclude it IS deliberate - just is the obstacle course and lip service the company has in place to deflect the army of angry customers who have been conned in this way. It is the same with their so-called "early termination fees" when a contract isn't terminated early. The company is thoroughly dishonest (like Mobiles.co. since you referred to them).

At this point its your word against theres, one of you is wrong, the question is who? Everytime I've changed my tarrif I've asked (and got) it in writing.

I can understand not checking your bill every month but you should have at least checked the first few months. First months is always all over the place, second one should be better. To not check for seven months is just plain daft.

You can ask Vodafone for the recordings of the conversation but as you said they don't keep it after so long. You could argue that without the recording then the contract is invalid as there is no record, but again you've been paying it for seven months, so can be seen to have accepted the contract.

The law is often based on a "reasonable person" standpoint.

A reasonable person would assume you are happy as you've been paying the bills for seven months and you've never queried it and also a reasonable person would at least have checked they were billed correctly.

I wish you well trying to solve the problem, but you've made it far worse by leaving it so long.

They must be keeping customers happy, otherwise they'd have no customers, *ALL* networks have issues and all have churn as people move for better service. As I said all the mobile co's have bad experiences and are often posted here. It's human nature to complain about bad service, you have only posted here about this bad experience, would you have been minded to post if it had been a seemess transaction? No you wouldn't.

    I didn't mentinoed mobiles.co.... in that post.

You may want to be careful what you say, you could be seen as commiting libel by stating something that you do not know is 100% true. Donzens of cases out of millions is a vanishingly small percentage, harldy the performanace of a company you claim as being "thoroughly dishonest".

You can say in your option or that you think, but stating a falsehood as a truth in an open forum, especially one Vodafone do read is not a great idea

I'm shaking in my boots. I can prove they always try to overcharge me on every contract termination. With decent companies there is an almost complete absence of problems on here. With the ones which routinely try it on there is loads. Vodafone falls well within the latter category. The fact that dozens "only" out of millions find their way on here to warn others is good enough for me. "Millions" aren't aware of sites like these and many can't be bothered to fight the dishonest practices of companies like Vodafone. If Vodafone had any concern at all about "libellous" statements it would actually do more than pay lip service to customer complaints and have no need to be on here.

I misread your "mobilesco" in your previous post; hardly surprising given that an invented word which is the same as an actual dealer (apart from a full stop) of equal infamy.

I agree that have happy customers.
What is annoying me is that they wont stand up and say they made a mistake.
We are talking about £5 extra per month for the tariff I was sold.
They have offered to put me onto the tariff i agreed but want me to pay the extra £5 per month.
    why should I?
O2 had the deal on at the time and Voda agreed to price match.
    Now they deny this.
Should have gone to O2 when i had the chance.
Now i am stuck with Voda's lies till August

What tariff your on with your online account doesnt always show what you actually pay until the discounts are added.

I'm on a permanent £25 a month tariff after arguing for 3 months when they gave me wrong info. I made them send me texts and emails to confirm everything. I also tell them i will ring up in 5 mins to double check everything, just not worth the hassle later on if you dont

    Got nowhere with Vodafone
What a joke of a company
    customer service is appalling
will be terminating my contract as soon as possible and going to a company who looks after their customers.
They want more money to honour what they sold me to start with.
    NO CHANCE
10 years of loyalty got me nowhere
    Goodbye Vodafone
I would not recommend anyone joining them who wants to be looked after and not lied to so they can get your money
    Complete liars and cheats

I can sympathise with the OP, I was promised that if I renewed/took out a 24 month contract that my phone would be under warranty the whole time. Foolishly (as I now realise) I took the sales person at their word. When I phoned up a few weeks ago to say that I was having problems with my handset I was told that there was no written record of a 24 month warranty, and that all phones are 12 month warranty only.
I also tried to get the original phone call pulled up, but like you, this doesn't seem to be possible, even though it was their suggestion that I did so!
I am still trying to decide what to do about this, as my contract doesn't expire til Jan 2011. Despite having been with Vodafone for more years than I care to remember I will be leaving at the earliest opportunity, even if I have to wait til next January.

Handsets are under warranty by Vodafone for the duration of your contract.

If you have a 24 month contract and your phone needs a repair, take it into a store and they will send it away and get it fixed.

The one problem they cannot repair is water damage, but if you have insurance, the handset will be replaced.
