    Hi peeps

well the extra DD has been taken out of the account today so the balance of £866.19 is now official :j:j:D:D

I`m keeping a very close eye on the bank account balance now as the next DD is due out on the 14th which should leave us with £166 and pence left on the balance. Then adding on the £195 admin fee should take it to just over £361.

Worst case scenario is that i may reduce the £700 DD if the bank balance is a little low as we have had an extra £250 outlay this month.

Little old doggie had to have a minor op on his eye a couple of days ago, he is far to old and fragile for a general anasthetic but as he is such a good little old man he had the op done under a local and he was as good as gold.

He already seems much better and i`m hoping that he will be ok now, lots of love and extra cuddles have been directed his way and he is snoozing away happilly atm.

I`was very impressed with the eye specialist that he went to see and very pleased that he came out quickly to see him, we didn`t have to travel far at all either which was great. Fingers crossed for little oldie now.

All in all its been quite en expensive month vet wise and yesterday when i went to pick up his repeat prescription for his heart medication i found that it had gone up yet again, thats four price increases in the last 12 months  The younger dog has just been wormed too so another extra for this month. When i add all the reciepts up later i may be in danger of passing out :rotfl:

    Roll on the 14th :D:D

  • Hellooooo, long time no see!! :hello:

OMG Sunny, what have you been up to?! The last time I was here (yonks ago :o) you were plodding away at being MF & now it looks like you're almost there!! :j Fantastique!! :j You must be soooooo happy :j Heck, I'm happy for you!! :rotfl:

I've just started looking at the MFW threads again as I really want to start over-paying asap. I actually made an overpayment last week (£10 :o) just to see if it worked, lol!! Still don't know if it did as I can't tell from the mortgage balance - got a lotta homework to do methinks, but I'm so excited about the possibility of working towards being MF now that the extension is finally done - just got to get hubby round to my way of thinking *rolls eyes*

Anyway, hope you're doing ok away from MFW-land. Get well soon to the poorly pooch/doglet/woofie (can't remember what you used to call them, my memory is going :o) & hope younger pooch & puss cat are behaving themselves. Look forward to your next MF installment :D

    Morning Sweet

this is weird as i was thinking about you yesterday - i remembered you saying a while ago that you were starting SW and i spent quite a lot of time yesterday looking at SW recipes and copying some down :p

I`ve just tried induction on lc very unsucessfully :o, this is my 2nd week of failing at it and the 3lb that i lost is just about all back so i was looking for something else. I think that i`m ging to give it a go as i need something that i can cook for DH to eat as well.

Everything else wise i`m fine thanks :D bit bigger and in need of new clothes lol  but i`ll have a go at fixing that.

The woofaloes and puss are fine too, little oldie is absolutely tons better today and i`m so happy, there have been a few tears shed over him the last few days and i feel hugely relieved that he`s ok.

Nice to hear that the extension is done :j How is DH? is he better now as he was quite poorly when i last heard from you.

Heh - now that you`ve started with your first overpayment you will be addicted, congrats btw on your first little dent in the balance - may it grow quickly :D
I spent some time yesterday explaining to a colleague about OPing, it came across by accident when i asked who the lender was and was told that they had just remortgaged, good deal but back up to 25 years - a good discussion followed and i left his mind ticking over so i hope that i`ve started something good off there. I used the snowball calc on WTC to show him rough examples and he was amazed what a small OP each month could do i also told him about leaving the term the same for now so that there is a safety net.

Nows the time to get the balance down whilst the rates are low, good luck :D I shall keep looking to see if you start a diary :p

Michelle - I have a cunning plan :D Its my Bday next month and i`m hoping that we can pay it off a couple of days before. I`ll know at the beginning of next month if thats possible.

    Have a good day peeps.

Are you an Aries by any chance? I recognise similar traits in myself. My birthday is next month too, and i am giving myself another 3 years after that to my 35th and i want it gone. I am wondering what measures i can take to do it. :D

Michelle - Yes typical Aries lol, i`ve been really lucky with my OP`s.
Nothing can match the hourly rate of my job so i`ve just thrown myself into w*rk instead of having fingers in many pies. I couldn`t match it anywhere. I`m really glad that i`m almost at goal though as i need some serious me time :D

    Hi Peeps

Quick update before i leave for w*rk - the postie has just been :D

Nice letter from the lender - my figures are a little bit out, the total balance is now £867.13 :j:j

The minimum monthly payment is now an amazing £7.75 lol

I went to the atm on the way to w*rk yesterday for a mini statement and we`re still on track for a £700 payment on the 14th, i`m obsessed with the bank balance now :o Wasn`t sure whether or not i would have to bring the payment down a bit this month but things are looking good. If nothing unexpected crops up before payday then we`re onto a winner methinks :D

WOOHOO - the end is in sight :D

    Hi Peeps

Just opened the mail and i have a big grin on my face :D

I rang our lender a few minutes ago and i have a figure to pay off our mortgage next week :j:j:j

The figure including the admin fee is £361.67 :D:D

I can`t wait to do this, i have to pay in a branch by cheque and then i shall be watching the bank balance like a hawk to see when it is cashed :beer::beer:

I have a question and i`m not sure where to post it so if anyone can give me any pointers please do.

When we bought the house there was a paper copy of the deeds, the lender told me that they communicate electronically with the land registry and everything is sorted this way now.

Thing is there is actually an old paper copy of the deeds which is of some historic interest, we would like this to keep. Does anyone know who we can approach to get this? I was under the impression that it would be our lender who kept these but they say not.

    Any ideas anyone?
