    Evening.

Don't know if some of you remember the Mum who I was 'helping' give up drinking. I rang her today to see how she was getting on. 4 weeks sober, has used the money to buy camping equipment and has taken the kids away for the first time in years. So proud of her.

I am still not drinking. Don't get bells but do get the 'I wonder if one would hurt' So far i've decieded that 1 probably would hurt!

I've been lurking away and good to see so many new 'faces'. It's always a good read on here!

    Have a good weekend everyone.

I do remember her and so glad to hear that. Well done to you for helping her and also for how well you are doing yourself.

    Morning all

Look at the time....and I've been up an hour!! Woke up with awful heartburn and couldn't settle back down. Came downstairs and am now on 2nd cup of coffee. Bleugh.....I'm going to be like death warmed up later! Sure it was probably the wine that caused it so none for me tonight. OH and the kids will be watching the football so think I will put Piglet to bed, have soak in the bath and have an early night. Sounds good.....

  • Miss P, Get well soon. Def time for a bit of R & R for you methinks.

Just to say I love the world cup. I do dare to dream that just maybe we can get somewhere this time, bit of national pride restored, a baby boom, national economy on the up, feel good factor ? Okay so I'm an optimist, more fun that way.

I recall USA 1994, I was 8 months pregnant at the start and DS1 due date was the day of the final. This year I'm watching it wiith my nearly 16 year old son, and he loves it more than me.

    Still on 5 AF
    DC.

    Morning DC!

Yes, I do feel a bit run down. Think I may rifle about in cupboards to see if I can find some vitamins.

Feel like I could sleep now....typical ;) Been playing scrabble on facebook...my god you could waste a few hours doing that!:rotfl:

I can't believe you remember your DS's due date when he's now 16! I can't remember when Piglet was due...just know it was early january ...had it all planned in my head, get christmas out of the way and then concentrate on having a baby. Then they decided to start me off on the 21st Dec...wasn't happy!!!:rotfl:

Lovely post well done on the changes you made with yourself and someone else - thats just brilliant news.

One always leads to two - etc - they always hurt!!

Best avoided - well done you for not getting bells - I do still often, but I try and drown them out or ignore them - doesnt always work but now and again I do win!!

Oh someone was asking about Honeybear - she's off somewhere for work isnt she? She mentioned it a while back not sure how long she's gone for but she did mention not to worry as bear towers was very safe and she'd pop back at some point.

Miss P me talk sense (looking around the room here) ?

Landlord is great - no idea how to move a piano - other than let someone else do it (!)

Lord you'd think we was posh with a piano and everything - DD is musical and I like pianos they look homey - my mother thinks I'm sure I have delusions of granduer - lol - seemingly I don't act like 'a normal single mother from a working class background!!'. (or so she told me on the phone yesterday - she is unique) I may not phone for a while again!

Who on earth wants to be normal?
