    Morning

Not AF last night but had about 20% of normal intake so not going to beat myself up about it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Back to work tomorrow for me :(

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Miss P me talk sense (looking around the room here) ?

Landlord is great - no idea how to move a piano - other than let someone else do it (!)

Lord you'd think we was posh with a piano and everything - DD is musical and I like pianos they look homey - my mother thinks I'm sure I have delusions of granduer - lol - seemingly I don't act like 'a normal single mother from a working class background!!'. (or so she told me on the phone yesterday - she is unique) I may not phone for a while again!

Who on earth wants to be normal?

You seem perfectly lovely and wonderful to me! I'd be pleased to have you has a daughter hug.gif

:rotfl::rotfl:How are you supposed to act then!?

More downtrodden I think? Who on earth knows - I shall adopt a suitably downtrodden appearance today when strimming the ridiculusly large garden I'm in!!:rotfl::rotfl:

LOL - not drinking has made me realise that my mother is odd - its not just me - and whilst I can't change her deranged ways - I can just learn to accept that its not my fault and she is indeed wierd.

:D Ah you see - RA - I'm learning to accept those things I cannot change. :D

YM - well done - :) nice to see you - waves a sleepy hello to both you and shaggy as well. ((Bless)) shaggy - you might want to have a word with my mum - I'm an utter disappointment always have been - (but these days 'I'm not bovvered') :)

:) sorry not been about much - I think about you all loads but life/work/life balance is bonkers at the mo

Love the new house, sad to leave the old house (very sad) no garden at all at new house due to gale force winds and no shelter - but it will keep me busy trying.

    Evening.

Don't know if some of you remember the Mum who I was 'helping' give up drinking. I rang her today to see how she was getting on. 4 weeks sober, has used the money to buy camping equipment and has taken the kids away for the first time in years. So proud of her.

I am still not drinking. Don't get bells but do get the 'I wonder if one would hurt' So far i've decieded that 1 probably would hurt!

I've been lurking away and good to see so many new 'faces'. It's always a good read on here!

    Have a good weekend everyone.

I do remember and she sounds like she has done very well.

I have this thought too 'what harm will 2 glass of wine do?' Had to talk myself out of it last night and remind myself that I like how I feel and I don't like how I feel after a drink the next day. So 1 will hurt - looking forward to an AF weekend!
Just to say I love the world cup. I do dare to dream that just maybe we can get somewhere this time, bit of national pride restored, a baby boom, national economy on the up, feel good factor ? Okay so I'm an optimist, more fun that way.

I recall USA 1994, I was 8 months pregnant at the start and DS1 due date was the day of the final. This year I'm watching it wiith my nearly 16 year old son, and he loves it more than me.

I remember USA 1994 - at university, home for holidays, living a hedonistic lifestyle at 21 :D Oh happy carefree days :rotfl:

I love the world cup too, after all its just a game and maybe one day we will and if not well there's always next time

'tis true. We don't get to pick our parents. Have you ever read "A boy called it" by David Pelzer? It's a the story of a man who was physically and psychologically abused by his mother as a boy.

The thing that struck me about his story was that at the end of the book he says he wouldn't have changed anything about his life because if he did he wouldn't be the person he is now.

Don't know why but that just stuck with me. Sometimes the struggle makes us stronger and all that.

    ... sorry for talking rubbish:p:o

  • Sparkles, funny how each world cup tells a story of a particular time in our lives. Now 1990 I had just moved in with my late DH...

Miss P, scrabble on FB, dangerous, just too addictive, throw in a couple of games of bejeweled and you've missed a bank holiday !

:A you don't talk rubbish - I've often thought of reading the book but to be honest I'm a bit scared.

Thanks for reminding me of it - I might be brave and read it.

Waves to the deep south - must go and do someting now!!
