brokepoalo what a stange situation with your ex.

Can I ask who "dumped" who?...(sorry if you said and I missed it) Of course I'm just being nosy:)

Haha shaggy, I don't mind at all. It was her this last time, I think that makes it a 2-2 draw in the series over the year we spent together. We bickered and argued a lot towards the end of last summer and broke up every two weeks, taking turns at who should walk away.

In October last year I ended things for what I thought would be the very last time because we were making each other really msierable and had a lot of external things going against us in our own lives.

But in February we met for a reconciliatory drink and one thing led to another and we started seeing each other again. It was going well, we weren't arguing but then my dad fell ill and I had to stay with him for a few days. When I got back she wouldn't answer my calls or texts until finally a week later she called it off saying she had to focus on buying her new flat and couldn't see us having a long term future together.

I took it fairly well, partly because I agreed with her, so I stopped all contact, deleted numbers etc.. and now this happens.

But anyway, I'm not going to dwell on it too much. Maybe she's just feeling a bit lonely living in a new flat on her own in an area she doesn't know, but I'm probably not the best person to turn to for company, especially if she's recently started seeing someone new. how wrong is that?

In other news, I feel really good today, had a great night's sleep and tomorrow I'm off to London to see a gig with some old friends and staying there for a couple of days so that will help take my mind off things.

I've got a ton of work to do today as well so hopefully that will hurry the day away.

I'd let myself go a little at the start of June despite having been really good during may and staying AF on almost every weekday. I echo treepotato's sense of pride when waking up in the middle of the night and remembering being AF. I was battling against taking a sleeping tablet last night because although I was tired from the previous night's lack of sleep, I had that same old problem where I was nodding off at around midnight but then just when I switched the lights off, my mind went into overdrive and all the things I'd avoided stressing about all came flooding back to me.

I was a bit restless for about half an hour but determined to have a natural and sober night's sleep and after telling myself in my head several times that there was absolutely nothing I could do to address my worries at that time of night, I fell asleep and slept straight through til the alarm went off at 8am this morning.

I felt great this morning and got quite a few things done right away at work, I usually don't get much 'actual' work done til after I've had three coffees around 11am.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

    Afternoon everyone

Thank-you Fay for your posts this morning, I really appreciated the support.

I text my OH to say I was upset as I seem to spend all my life dieting and getting nowhere and making myself miserable. Told him I'd decided to stop it and just be happy with myself. Know what his reply was?? "You daft bat, thats what I've been telling you for ages!".:)

So thats it. This is me. Like it or lump it!:D

Thank you all....you are a lovely bunch and its nice knowing I have people I can blub to when I need to.:T
