If any of you are looking for another excuse to be AF and are as vain as I am :D .......

My DH commented this weekend how lovely my skin was looking at the moment and was I using some sort of new cream or something (he wouldn't normally notice if I walked round with a paper bag on my head). My best friend has mentioned that I look like I've lost some weight or something is different about me.

In the couple of weeks that I've stopped the wine habit my rosacea (sp?) acne has disappeared completely for the first time in 5 years, all the red blotchyness has gone and best of all I can see my jawline and cheek bones. My face had been looking like a bloated red beach ball with piggy eyes and I was quite happily blaming it on cheap shampoo/the weather/getting old.

I'm never going to be a stunner but this is making me feel good and more positive about myself than I have done in years :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Good to see you back sim, and pleased to hear you're sober and enjoyed the voluntary work. Well done for getting your appointents sorted, sounds like you're getting back on track and last week is firmly in the past.

By all means have a short rest but do try to get your body clock back in sync. There's always the risk that you'll wake up in the early hours and start the cycle all over again, Take care.

    Good Morning all :)

I was shattered last night, so went to bed ridiculously early!

Am aware though, of the importance of keeping my body clock on an even keel, so I'm now up and about. Gonna have a shower, bacon buttie, and then maybe a walk.

My boss is aware of my *past* struggle with booze and depression / anxiety, so he thanked me for keeping him updated on a daily basis last week, and he offered to ease me in gradually, rather than doing 9 - 5 which I was going to do.. Instead, I'm going to start with 3 mornings a week I think - 9 - 1.

Am also thinking about applying for my Taxi license, as a local firm are looking for drivers, and they supply the car / pay for all the relevant gubbins / badge.

Am worried about CRB though, buy surely I'm not the only wannabe taxi driver with minor convictions from 6 - 12 years ago? :-/

Need to pace it though, but I do need the money, so I can really attack my debts, and have a life!

I was gonna go for a Debt Relief Order, but I'm having second thoughts.

Am off to the Library, when I finish at 1, to print off the 'Experian' form, so I can send off for my credit file (already have the Equifax one). Am also gonna print off the 'MSE Daily Clicks Guide' so I can raise some extra cash that way :)

Then food shop, and home this afternoon, around 3 - 3.30, to do housework.

I feel completely out of my comfort zone, but it's all good ;-)

    Enjoy your day everyone.

    Sim x

    Cheers - Sim x
