Haircut tonight - always a worry. Do other people get that? I find it quite scary having my hair cut; I'm never confident about how it will turn out which has everything to do with my hair & nothing to do with my friend wot does it.

I shared that about not liking getting my haircut to someone else who has stopped drinking. He said that in the past he needed a few drinks before getting his haircut.
He thought it was due to either :
Feeling vulnerable and not in control
Looking at yourself in mirror and not liking what you see (not aesthetically, but who you are as a person)

All I know is that since I stopped drinking and changed myself (I now love myself and no longer treat myself like carp), I no longer dread getting my haircut :D

I'm now up to a Merry 8 please DB.
I don't mind having my hair cut but I really don't like having it coloured. Since I'm not yet ready to have silver locks it's a necessary evil :(.

    :D

I hate it - I don't like hairdressers - infact I hate them more than the dentist - I go once every couple of years now if that much.

I love getting my hair done - but don't really enjoy seeing myself in the mirror that much. I would go more often than every six months if I had more time and money. My mum used to take me to her hairdresser and let me decide what to do with my hair so it left me with very positive association.

    DB - 13 please
    :)

Very tired - despite that hoping to get some studying done as the exam days are not far ahead now

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sorry GC but this cracked me up!!!! Your contribution to this thread is fantastic & I hugely value your input & opinion, but ha ha - I've feared the dreaded haircut since the age of about 10! Oh dear I'm almost weeping with laughter, I'm sorry luv ;) Biggest worry is how much my hairdreser has before she starts! (it's a mate - she comes to the house)

Fay - you're lucky not to need to go more often; I've got a right mullet (sp?) after 2 months.

& ICDT - usually my friend puts a colour on too - decided to do it myself last week & redecorated the bathroom......

    She's here must do!

Evening everyone, hope you are all ok.

I hate the hairdressers too and I've been putting off making an appointment for week's now. Unfortunatley I'm starting to look like a walking hedge again so I think I'll need to go this weekend :(

Going to have another AF day here please Sparkles, making 13 now for May DB, thanks.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
