Thank you for sharing your experience, that makes interesting reading. When you say that the clinic said your mole was not as straight forward, did they expand more on what they meant?

Sorry just re-read your post and saw the explanation about needing two attempts to avoid going too deep.
  • Hi - I posted earlier about having 167 moles removed! How brave am I !!!!. Anyway they were all done at Nottingham Laser Clinic by Dr. Hamilton. I had all different types of moles removed - the raised ones that are sort of on a stalk are the ones that have produced the best results - you can genuinely not see where they were. Some of the pink slightly raised ones have left a pale scar but the worst results I guess were from the dark brown slightly raised flattish ones that have left some pigment colouring - still tonnes better than they were so I'm not too fussed but they are by no means perfect. I would recomend that before treatment people take before photos and do a comparison a year later as it can take this long for the scarring to settle - I'm glad I had all mine done - cost about £2500 in all and I had to go back for laser zapping to try to reduce the pigment at £150 a time. Hope this has been of some help.
  • ahh that's interesting...167 wowsa, how much is it per mole?
  • I meant to say - when I looked again after about 8 months I was convinced that some new moles had appeared but when I referred back to my photos I realise that they were always there it's just that the big ones around them were more noticible. I haven't had any "regrowth" of moles - I'd be gutted!!!!! :-(
  • Well the ones removed by radio cost £300 for the first one then £50 each after that if you have more than Ithink it was 20 done at once - I ended up getting some free. The others (which were the main bulk of them) were done by laser at £150 per session - because I had tonnes Pauline - the nurse who does them - did about 60 - 75 per session - most ofthem needed at least 2 goes - 8 weeks apart. It hurts a bit but then vanity always does!

Interesting this, as Ive had one of my neck that has always annoyed me and a large one under my arm which has made shaving difficult all my life. The are both bobbly type ones - raised and movable  The one on my neck people used to say looked cute when I was young but now I just hate it when I look in the mirror. Its not huge but round and dark brown and sometimes I catch a finger nail or brush on it which panics me for a second.
  • thanks for the posts on here.

I was just having a google for the removal of skin tags (I understand thats what mine are apparently - loose wobbly things) and I see my local BUPA hospital offers it under plastic surgery for "from" £79. Hmm, that may be worthwhile.

Boris, please may I ask? Did you have to stay out of the sun after you had the treatments done?

    Thanks
