i was just wondering if any one knows the cost/or has tried laser mole removal
i would like it purely for cosmetic reasons as i have a few on my face which i don't like, and i get more as i get older (may be to do with the sun) , none are raised and none are bigger than 1-2mm
is there any sort of creams i could use as that would be much easier!,
thanks!

My daughter had a mole on her face and back and my GP removed it in the surgery under local anasetic. No cost involved we were just worried because they were unslighlty and the one on her back had got biggerI also had a mole removed by my bra strap as it kept itching. . See your GP to see if they offer the sevice there.Competitions wins 2010

Go and see your GP ,as already mentioned. ,they will refer you to an outpatient clinic to get them removed cost free.
Dont worry ,you wont have any scarring.Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
Hi, I too am wanting information about mole removal via laser - but nobody has mentioned this yet? I have a small mole on my forehad which I now really want to get rid of. I had a small mole on my back which my GP referred me to an outpatient clinic at the local hospital and it was cut off. Now as this leaves a scar I absolutely do not want to go down that route with my face. Has anybody had a mole removed via laser, what was the cost, and would you recommend it? I am looking particularly for laser treatment in London and am prepared to go private if necessary.
Thanks again in advance for any help.0 -
I know they do this at Skn clinics with a laser. It is done by a doctor and costs around £300. http://www.sknclinics.co.uk/skin/mole-removal.html
I had a large mole removed from my face about 10 years ago. It was done by a plastic surgeon. It was cut out and left the tiniest scar which could be covered by makeup. I cant even see it now. I have had moles on my body removed at the doctors and they always left scars - it is done in the small ops clinic which is held once a week so I dont think the doctor has the time to worry about the scar.0 -
I suspect your GP might refuse to remove it if its on your face and you scar easily. Something like this came up for me lately and my GP told me she would refer me on to a plastic surgeon if it was necessary. Although I think the rule for this is 1cm or more wide on the face, 2cm ormore on the body...start with your GP in any case, no point in paying for something unless you have to and they would probably be able to give you the right clinic for referral...0

Always sceptical about these sorts of products - did a quick google can't see any negative stuff on it? Anyone tried it?

I've just been to my GP regarding laser treatment on the NHS and she said she doesn't know of any laser clinics that's available on the NHS! I find this quite hard to believe?! Surely this sort of thing is available if it's on the face etc? Any ideas folks?0
