Laser mole removal?
Comments

Hi, my name is Jena and i have a small mole on my right hand and i want to remove that. I consulted with a dermatologist and he recommended me laser treatment, but im scared of that.
I also researched about mole removal creams as mentioned on this site moleremovalskintag.com but my question is that these creams really work? are there any side effects or skin reaction after using them?
Please help, im really scared of laser treatment.
Thanks!

Hello Jena,
From what I understand Laser is NOT the best way to remove a mole and creams can leave scars and have variable results depending on the type of mole.
I work in in a Private Cosmetic/Dermatology clinic in London and the advice I was given was to mechanically remove (cut out) the mole and then use a cauterising technique called Hyfrecation to minimise any scarring. It didn't hurt, they used a local anaesthetic.
I think radio-surgery uses the same principle. I had some small skin tags and moles removed from my face and I was very happy with the results, could not tell I ever had them.
Good luck,
George.0 -
I'm hoping to get in touch with this place next month and hopefully book a consultation as I want about 4 noticable moles removing. Does anyone know if the deal with 'flat' moles as I have one on the side of my face which just looks like a small brown stain but don't know if they would be able to do anything about that.House Deposit: £28,000 and still saving!0

in a nutshell, avoid creams altogether ! if your afraid of lasers you wont want to put corrosive chemicals on your face, because this is what they are.
they can burn, scar and cause pigmentation problems
I would go with radiosurgery, Zenith clinics in nottingham do this and was straight forward with no healing issues after.
Ive had a good number of moles done here and never been a problem and you cant see where they were
hope this helps
Thanks for help.0 -

Thanks George, for your suggestion and help. I'll research more about radio-surgery and see if it works for me.0 -
i have booked in for zenith on friday, its for a consultation so far, with treatment the same day hopefully. i chose zenith because even tho i'm based in leicester, it seemed much more cheaper than SK:N who were changing their prices whilst i was on the phone trying to arrange a consultation that i had to pay for!! zenith consultation is free (even tho i had to pay a returnable £50 deposit) whereas sk.n wanted £150 to see their director because 'no doctors were available at that clinic'.
but anyway, i will be posting before and after pics, both moles are on my face so will be extremely visable and of course i'd like the scarring to be minimal. make sure you check out radio frequency mole removal on youtube to see how its done, most videos bring up clinics in new york etc, but you can see how its done the method etc. scary stuff but seems much more safer to me than a laser or a scalpel.
i shall post over the weekend to share my experience, and to answer any questions.0 -

Hi
I've had several moles removed at Zenith. One by another doctor but at least two by Dr Maini. One mole has left a white mark behind but its better than having a big brown bump on my face. The remainder have disappeared without a trace. Re treatment is free but I've not needed it.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and Dr Maini is lovely. A bit posh but actually quite down to earth and very approachable.
i've been back to the Pauline, the nurse for botox, derma roller, red vein treament and microdermabrasion. She is also is very down to earth and has tried all the treatments herself and has vast experience of nursing.
I can't fault the clinic at all.The Cabbage

Late reply but I had the procedure done at Zenith in Nottingham a few months ago.
I have to say i'm thoroughly impressed by the results. In total, I had 5 moles removed, 3 facial and 2 chest moles.
The procedure was a fine but a little uncomfortable for a few seconds. All moles were either raised or flat.
The aftercare was a little annoying though, thankfully I had two weeks off work during the procedure so coudl hide at home covered in plasters. You are covered in plasters which need changing all the time and you need to keep them covered in vasaline to let them heal. Hence, it's a bit of a nightmare trying to shower etc with them on. But after a few days you can take the plasters off and just apply vaseline to keep the wound moist. Slowly the wounds start to scab over and you can't touch/pick them just let the scabs fall off.
I was told beforehand that the moles on the chest may likely leave a scar as this area heals the hardest. It's true though that there are faint marks on this area but it's much better than a horrible brown mole. My facial moles removal is barely noticable though. I was worried about a slight indentation on one of them but it seems to have sorted itself out in time though.
I'm so glad I got this done. I still have a few other moles that i'm considering getting removed and would defintly go there again to get it done. Just need saving up now, maybe next summer
Overall, i would defintily recommend it.House Deposit: £28,000 and still saving!0 -
