Yeah, well we bath her once a week :o We wash her hair when she's bathed with johnsons as its always greasy! As she has so much hair and its getting longer now, people feel the need to run their greasy hands and fingers through it. And it starts to smell :(

I probably would too because I have 'babies with hair' envy. :o

I'd give the olive oil a go - you would probably have to change her bedding in the morning though.

Oh! I've just had it confirmed that next door DO slam their door excessively.

3 of the birthday cards just fell off the mantlepiece following one of the usual bangs.

I'm writing an email to the housing officer to ask her to let me move. Tbh it leaves my house free for someone else so it's surely no skin of their nose? Both are same size etc.

But i don't know what to write???

I know the house i want is vacant, and the HV has written a letter of support advising them i'm vulnerable to DV in this house..

    I fail at words.

    Dear Housing Officer,

I'm writing as a follow-up to previous letters and requests both from myself and my health visitor, Xxx Yyy.
For the reasons outlined in those communications (my abusive ex-partner who knows the address and has both assaulted me and brought illegal hard drugs into the house with my baby and young son; and deteriorating relations with my neighbours and their excessive noise levels, which are a major problem with young children), I am seeking urgently to move.

I know that Xxx Yyy has written to confirm the extreme stress I am under and the damage my circumstances are doing to my children on a daily basis. I have identified a property (123 ABC Lane) which is currently vacant, and would be able to accommodate me and my young family immediately. Please let me know whether a move to this property is possible, or what next steps I would need to take to get the necessary approvals, as for me this is a matter of extreme urgency.

Thanks in advance and I will follow up by phone on x/y/2010 to discuss further, or please feel free to phone any time in working hours on 123456789.

? Shrug. Could definitely be made better if the approach is important, I'd tend to think it's just an opening gambit before speaking directly to them anyway though?

always, did you see my suggestion of asking for a job share arrangement before you go straight for handing your notice in? :) Though if you're TTCing maybe it's not so much of an issue.. ;)

On a :money:note, Netto have the Pampers wipe tubs with a 63pk of Sensitive wipes for £1 from Monday 26th April :)

Totally. We're not trying-trying but not not-trying, IYSWIM, and my drive is intermittent at best, and if my ten-minute window of interest is inconvenient it could be days or a couple of weeks before I perk up again.

Excellent letter, Bruno. What he said.

My powerpoint is more than half done,* my tea was finished and the troops are napping before we tackle the industrial park. AND I am currently a third of the way down a second uninterrupted cup of tea.

*I've already done the last slide because it says "thank you for your attention" and includes a gratuitous baby photo :rotfl:

EA - Just put baby oil on the cradle crap bits on lilys head, leave it to soak in overnight or during the day, get a baby comb and backcomb the scabs off. It's a very satisfying thing, seeing the whole thing lift off :rotfl: I was quite sad that Keira's never came back after that!!
