Lily has cradle cap. Its quite alot of it to.
How can i help it along? I read that you can put baby oil or Vasaline on it overnight and then wash it off in the morning. But she's very hairy and it would mean covering her actual hair in oil/jelly.
if you dont fancy using oils, we got Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo and it worked a treat
hasnt come back and it only took 2 applications to work.

Oooh well pleased here! Working away on trying to get Elena to take formula - I meant to answer you yesterday MFD, yes I will be giving up bf when I go back to work as cannot express any decent amount, let alone 3 feeds worth! She will take formula with her porridge (probably because the taste is disguised a bit) and took a good 3 ounces of milk that way this morning. Tried her with her bottle afterwards, and she was still not keen - until it had cooled right down, and tried again. Made a game out of it, and she actually sucked a lot out of the bottle! She spat most of it back out, but I think its a good start
And can I please do a proud mummy post? As of her 6 month check last week (she is about 6 1/2 months now) she weighs 20lbs 3 + 2/3rds oz. so is putting about 2 -3oz on per fortnight. She is saying dada all the time now0 -
*mooches in* Wotcha, I'm just twiddling my thumbs a bit, Celia has yet another double ear and throat infection so she's asleep on my lap.
3, the next Friday sling meet will be May 7th, hmmm, I might go do all the notices now! Be back in a bit!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
I'm writing an email to the housing officer to ask her to let me move. Tbh it leaves my house free for someone else so it's surely no skin of their nose? Both are same size etc.
But i don't know what to write???
I know the house i want is vacant, and the HV has written a letter of support advising them i'm vulnerable to DV in this house..
I fail at words.
Have you actually spoke to your Housing officer? I would get an idea on their processes, ask about a management move.
How far is the empty one away from your current property, also the property might be empty but already earmarked for someone else.
My mum was packing up my house and my friend knocked on the door asking to look round as her sister had bidded on the property and been successful, keys were due to be handed in on the Monday.0 -
Hi
DKAM
glad things are moving in the right way for you.
ex OH is obv just a waste of space and an utter tosspot and you are all so much better off without him.
hope the bidding is successful!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Hiya, glad things are moving forward for you.
I've not spoken to her for a while, only really spoken to her about my noisy neighbours not about the DV. She always seems to want rid of me so i hate talking to her lol. It's just round the corner about 5 mins away i drive past it everyday!
And the worst thing is, the woman who lived there was desperate to swap with me but i'd just had Amber when she asked and i thought i'd be able to apply for a 3 bed as i wasn't in as much of a rush to move at that point and her house was smaller (and i didn't realise which one she meant)!! Grr i hate myself! She wanted mine cos her family live over the road from me! She went private so it's sat empty atm and it's not come up on the list yet i'm checking it each time it's updated. But i'm in Band 4 so even if it does come up i won't get it.
My ex has been charged with assault cos they found he'd done it to me before from his records. He's at court in a few weeks, they said i might have to attend.
But my situation is nowhere near like yours so with the length of time it's taking for you to get somewhere i don't think i'll hold my breath!0 -

TBH I only made my homeless application on the 14th as I was a bit indecisive on where to live at the beggining.
Have you got the number for the DV outreach in your area? it's worth giving them a call, also speak to Shelter, they really know their stuff, their number is 08088004444.
I hope it all works out for you, at least he's being charged, thats a big step for someone to take, I wish I'd of been brave enough to bring charges.
If you need any more advice I'm always here, I dont post much but I do log on every day x
BTW have you informed them of the new baby?0 -
Hi DKAM!! I saw the pics you put up on fb, how thick and lush is DS2's hair! it puts Eds mop to shame
I hope you find somewhere nice to move to, is DS1's behaviour any better, has he seen the counsellor(?) yet?
