Pleased things are moving on for you DKAM and hope you get a house soon. Hope you get sorted too Beanie.
I've been lucky as I'm in a semi and my neighbour lived alone. Apart from hearing the TV now and again, we never really knew he was there. He died in November and family have been doing the house up as it hadn't been decorated since he bought it in the 70's! My worst nightmare is them selling it to noisy people as I hate loud noise
Had a row with Early Learning Centre this morning. They sent me a voucher for 20% off anything and the small print said it excluded promotions. We're getting her a Leapster 2 and ELC were the cheapest with the voucher. Went to pick one up this morning and the lady said they didn't stock them. I asked if she could check the other stores for me and she noticed their system said there was one in stock. She said the manageress was in the stock room, so she rang upstairs and the manageress brought one down.
Went to pay with my voucher and was told I wasn't allowed as the item was already on promotion. I asked how and I was told it was £55 but reduced to £40. I said there was nothing on their website indicating it was on promotion, and it costs £39.97 in Tesco, £39.99 in Argos and £29.99 on Amazon but I'd have to pay £3.23 postage to get it by her birthday.
She was still adamant I couldn't use the voucher so I said I was disappointed and I'd go home and order off Amazon. Got to the door of the shop and she shouted back and she'd magically found a way of getting it to go through the till, so I got it for the £32 that I wanted to pay :money:Here I go again on my own....0 -
We're now torn over where to go for the babygate. Ikea has one wide enough (discounted with family card), and we can return a few things, and we can have nommy Ikea lunch, and it is not too much of a PITA to get to. Babies R Us also has one that is cheaper, is on the industrial park where there is a huge trade delicatessen type shop so we can load up on tasty Italian stuff and a couple of other shops ... but we have to take two trains and a bus and THEN walk for 20 minutes each way to get there.morning all, gotta go back and catch up but need to ask a question re shoes cos I cant remember. I know that when they are younger you tend to get kids measured every 8 weeks or so for new shoes but when they get to 2½ how often do you go ?So, back again in the afternoon to see the senior nurse. She thought it might be to do with her exema, and asked if I'd used anything different - I said we had used the bath emolient that had been prescribed, and she immediately said that would have been it, as it had lanolin in it and often people with exema have an allergic reaction to lanolin! ...
and the fact that manufacturers put lanolin in a bath wash for kids with exema when it often goes hand in hand with a lanolin allergy.Lanolin is one of the best substances for use on delicate, dry or chapped skin. It is often a key ingredient in chapsticks, creams, shaving lotions, and skin moisturizers. It is often used medically to soothe rashes, minor burns and abrasions. In these cases, it is very purified; less-refined lanolin can cause allergic reactions in some people. Are you using shampoo on Lily? I don't know if there is any truth in it, but I blame it for cradle cap. J & L were both bathed every night and their hair washed, and they both had cradle cap. V is only bathed when she starts to smelland her hair just rinsed with water (unless there is some crusty food in it), and she's not had it!
Beenie - I hope they take notice this time.

Good to hear from you DKAMxx
Rhys had a purple lunch today - crumpet with blueberry jam, raspberry yoghurts and red grapes0 -
Hi DKAM!! I saw the pics you put up on fb, how thick and lush is DS2's hair! it puts Eds mop to shame
I hope you find somewhere nice to move to, is DS1's behaviour any better, has he seen the counsellor(?) yet?
xx
DS1's getting better, I've been calmer with him and trying where possible to set boundaries, we now have a 'time out corner' in our room which is effective most of the time.
No CAMHS until we move, they wont even take the referal while we in refuge but it's ok, he's doing ok.0 -
Oooh my Support worker just came up and told me my council letter is here! :j
Have to wait till office is open to collect it though.
I'm signing off now as the baby is just waking up from his nap.
I'll be back on later for more chatting if you'll have me xx0 -
Kindof, I think it's your "taxable pay to date" figure you want
I've just booked out holiday for June.. we're going to a holiday cottage in Holt, Norfolk(saving Lake District for September as I couldn't find anywhere I liked that was availale for June).
Cool thanks

Anyone got any tips on me and OH dtd for the first time in like ohhhh 10 monthsIve finally stopped bleeding YAY lol and Elliot is being babysat by my mam on sat night at her house (we were meant to be going to OH's friends dad's hotel for the night free, but apparantly its not free and we cant afford to go so we are having a night to ourselves at home instead) I really want to dtd (I am not as horny as I was when E was 2 weeks old though) I have been holding off till my 6 week check, so providing everything is ok with my stitches etc when I go tomorrow then sat night will be the night lol, but we are both nervous as hell as its been 10 months since we did it, and I am quite body shy, my belly is all stretched marked and kinda saggy (joining slimming world on thurs lol) so its lights off for me for one lol, I dont think *ahem* I need any lubricant, as *ahem* I seem to be ok in that department this week lol, basically should I just have a little drink and go for it lol

kindofagilr:- i would have a glass of wine/booze of your choice and just go for it.
If all is okay after your check up that is. Or if your feeling fragile, just touch first and see what happens. That way your both more comfortable.hmm - I was 'at it' within 2 weeks of all 4 (inc 1 c/s and 2 v nasty tears with internal and external stitches) and less than 3 weeks after my hysterectomy. At 40 (eek!!) I've turned rampant and would happily dtd 4 or 5x or more week - unlike DH - grr!!! Holidays are when he's up for it.....
the lowest my drive has been is when I had a mirena - almost permanent pmt and no libido meant there was no point in having it!:rotfl:
grrent x
thinking she's abnormal now.......:D
em i must ahem abnormal like you then 5+ times a week for me, my OH loves it, lol shame i ahem broke him once, twice ahem and had to have operations ahem.
My low time came when i had the mirena fitted, it was awful, could feel it moving around. Also the darn had been fitted in wrong and managed to tear my insides  was so angry at the doctors.
But since i've had that removed and my OH had the vasectomy, its been all good.
My periods are a nightmare, sometimes on for two weeks, they awful, and they came back straight away even when i was breastfeeding. So not fair!
Can't belive first post on the parents thread and about sex, how shocking.:o0 -
kindof I would still have some lube to hand, go slow and be aware that it might feel different, don't worry about how you look, I'm sure your OH won't notice any differences
and enjoy yourself!
oh and don't forget contraception0 -
oops i forgot about the contraception, good reminder sami bee!!!0
