That's kind of our problem too Aless. We have a decent sized garden, but at the back it's all grass with a border of stones. Except for a patch at the back which we thought would be improved by turning it into a veg patch or something as it backs on to a field and has the most ridiculous thistles and weeds growing in it. They are too strong to kill though. So we need to build some kind of contained box patch on top but as it's on a slope, DH isn't sure how to go about it. Hmmm, it's really his area this, not mine and I have no clue what I am talking about.
Csh - Did you grow cress in eggs at school? I can't remember doing it, but people talk about it all the time, so it must be pretty easy to do plain old cress! I did wonder if you could do rocket inside or not. We are also troubled by slugs, although DH is on a mission to massacre them.
Scottish meet will be good, but could be a while off as Rmac is not available for June (unless she doesn't get her flights!). Did you see I got Holly weighed yesterday!!? You can stop worrying about her now. ha ha.0 -

You can grow cress in wet cotton wool! Did that at school plus DD did it at school too!
I'm sure you can do rocket inside, it'll tell you on the packet of seeds how many hrs of daylight etc...
We have a basil plant and OH has a red pepper thing too lol both new so nothing yet!!
I really need to get K weighed, I've been working/generally busy every Thursday and not been for ages. Reckon he is around 18lbs ish
eta: he'd need to build a angled frame onto the hill from railway sleepers or similar then the soil would be level inside. Is your OH handy Fitz?0 -
I have no idea what I got married to. My bridesmaid's husband piped us in and out, and DH and I walked in together rather than my dad walking me down the aisle (no reason, just didn't think my dad would be overly bothered and we just wanted a small informal thing - but typing this I am feeling a bit guilty that he might have wanted to, whoops!). They asked what I wanted, and I told him to do whatever he wanted. I really couldn't care less about the little details! It's amazing I got married at all to be honest. I was just far too embarrassed about the whole thing!0

Hmm, how about 'Love Me Do- The Beatles'
Its nice and short and is the perfect mix of upbeat and not to in your face dancey..
btw, OH wont co-operate, he keeps saying "Well you say you want me to make a choice, but it wont be my choice as you turn down all my choices and end up picking something else anyway :rotfl:
Its kind of true, his choice always is The Prodigy or Pendulam :rollseyes:0 -
Oooh, yes EA - walk down the aisle to Firestarter!0

Not naturally handy (office worker), but my dad can do anything, and has been teaching him over the past few years, so he is not bad. He wants to try everything himself. He has mentioned sleepers. I think he just left it a bit late to look into it and thinks there is no point now and I haven't shown enough interest.
I was surprised H was only 17lb 7oz when I took her yesterday. I have really felt her beefing up in the last week and her legs have definitely grown. My back hurts trying to lift her at the moment so goodness knows what it will be like when she is a toddler!
How is K getting on anyway? Sleeping any better? Being good for MIL?0 -

Im already going down to a My Chemical Romance song

My friend played his guitar and sang Snow Patrol Chasing Cars while we signed the register... It bought a tear to Hubby's eyeA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
