That would be good Susan. I'm just a bit confused trying to picture it :rotfl:
Keira doesn't even have a car seat, she is just in a booster. We don't have a car though, so it's rare we are in one, except on a day out somewhere with her Gran, and tbh I'm not paying £100 for something that gets used about once in 3months. It's still safe! If we get a car then I'll get a proper one though.0 -
Just waiting while my camera uploads the photos as I haven't done it for about a month. Rarely being in a car probably reduces the risk far more than having a fancy car seat anyway.Buttonmoons wrote: »That would be good Susan. I'm just a bit confused trying to picture it :rotfl:

Don't watch if easily upset. These show what booster seats can do if the child is not old enough, there was one case I knew of where the little girl just slipped out of the adult belt as it didn't hold her as she was too light. Ben is still in a high backed seat and he is 7 in July, Erin is 10 and only came out of hers just over a year ago.

Sheesh, wish they made car seats for people on a budget who are concerned about safety *rolleyes*. Will bookmark them anyway, thanks Bruno & Susan for the links
. We're nowhere near 20lbs yet, thankfully but still something to think about for the future.
Weezl, FWIW I think Kester should be behind DH the driver as then it's easier for you to reach him and for him to see you, right? Just my thought.
Yes, sorry Aless
I thought it was hugely pricey as I was posting it - but in my defence I just followed up on my order history and when I bought it a year ago it was barely half the price! At $160, and the exchange rate was better too

So, does anyone have any advice on a safe car seat for under £100? Or what to consider when choosing a car seat?0

ours was about 99.99 , just under hehe!!
think it was from mothercare, britax eclipse si, it had lots of good reviews online, kiddicare etc, won quite a few awards, and it fits really snug into the seat, and baby seems really comfy. 3 seat positions, so if she falls asleep, i recline it so she's comfier
we're very happy with it
