susan - this is not the first time I've heard about rear facing beyond the 9kg limit, thanks for the reminder. Now to find a a rear facing seat without isofix for the 20+year old redmobile in the garage! Fortunately, we have http://www.maclarenbaby.com/gb/content/view/176/88888936/lang,en/ which will do til Tom is 15kg, which is yonks away yet, he wasn't even 6kg at 17weeks.

lady at the breastfeeding helpline was great - told me I was doing a great job, you'll get through it and a load of stuff about early weaning (or not), actually told me nothing that the sensible rational person in me didn't already know and that's reassured the knackered irrational person in me. She did recommend a book about weaning which I'll look into - anyone come across it and is it any use? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-led-Weaning-Helping-Your-Baby/dp/0091923808

ooh eck, aromatic machine gun fire noises from the baby bouncer, think it might be bonus bathtime for someone, back later!

Morning parents :D Taking Amber for her jabs in a bit :( I don't know how we're so late with them, i'm sure at 8 weeks we were only a week late and i thought i'd left it 4 weeks in between but she's 19 weeks now. Unless i can't count.

You think you're behind - Tom had his 8 week jabs at 10 weeks, his 12 weeks at 16+weeks and his 16 week jabs are scheduled for 1st June when he'll be 24 weeks or something as what with dad's illness, funeral and now all the sorting out of his business getting to the gp is just proving to be a logistical nightmare!

EA - dont be silly of course you should bring OH this is the parents thread not the mummy thread after all :) will talk to OH when he gets home and suss a date, would there be anyone day thats better for you?

Aless - my thoughts exactly, your held over a barrell with car seats cos the better they are the more they cost! I went through a stage of feeling really bad we couldnt afford a car with isofix as its the safest thing going. Thats why were gonna get our next car seat early than we need it and take advantage of the sales then just hold on till we need it. Manufacturers change colours every 6 to 12 months and sell off the older colour cheap but the seat under it is still the same :)

Weezl - I sit in the back with T most times so she is behind the passenger seat that way I can see her when am driving on my own too, but I would move her behind the driver seat if I were in the front passenger seat HTH.

Susan - thanks for the link to your blog, I love that you have such an intrest. I only wish I could say the same for alot of parents. We get so many folks who come intowork and really dont care they just buy cos they know the laws says they have too. They do no research and are usually more fussed by how it looks than its safety!!! Worse still its usually people with money that are the worse!!

Baby Led Weaning is where you only let your baby eat, no purees basically. If you google baby led weaning there is lots of information out there without having to buy the book.

always, I've had my eye on that book too for ages but not bought it yet. If you get it, lemme know how it is! I just figured I'm too cheap to buy it and I'll just wing it, lol. Hugs for you & Tom...not much advice here but just hope you both go a bit easier.

Som, very true. Good to know about the sales, I think once he approaches a year or so we'll put aside some cash and wait for a big sale to come along :).
