No, I am not really miserable, but I am not a "laugh out loud" person at normal comedies and stuff. It really does take a lot to make me belly laugh iykwim! I am a sarcastic person and appreciate people with the same kind of wit as me I think.
Me too! OH thinks i'm strange because he'll watch something funny on tele and belly laugh while I sit with a slight amused look.
The only things that make me really laugh out loud is people falling over.:beer:0 -
Ooh now I know how, I'm going to overload you all

Thanks for the advice - Parents are going to Tesco tomorrow so Mum is going to pick a few sleepsuits for me so that little man can be comfy.
I wasn't due until May 3rd so he was 5 days early. My waters went at 1am Sun but I had to be induced as I didn't go into full labour myself. It ended up being much more traumatic than I ever imagined due to a variety of things going wrong but the midwives were brilliant and got him here safely for me.
He's a very good baby most of the time, but he hates having his clothes and nappy taken off and screams the house down! He's feeding well and has been fast asleep since I fed him at 7am. He's just starting to stir now so I'm going to brave a nappy change (Daddy has done all but one so far!)
Here are a couple of pics, they're the same ones I put on the pregnancy thread so apologies if you've already seen them. (and sorry about the size - don't know how to make them smaller!!)Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Jillie I used to put q folded up duvet cover under the highchair so I could pick up the food and give it back to him. A duvet cover means lots of ways to fold it before it needed washing
i used the 5 secs ruleJillie – Keep forgetting to say, if Holly is in any way tired, she won’t eat anything so I try to feed her soon after waking from naps. Also, I find that sometimes she is more likely to take food if sitting on my knee rather than her highchair or Bumbo as she has less opportunity to fidget. Particularly for breakfast - I can stick kids TV on and sometimes it seems to give her focus and she will just automatically open her mouth for me, rather than looking around fidgeting as she sometimes does (bad Mummy?)!!
We generally have dinner at the table though.
Just ideas in case anything helps.
thanks fitzio, i;m trying to have it so he's having food approx 3 hours after a bottle, so he's not hungry but more receptive to the food.
i have noticed too if he's tired he wont even entertain the food.
we have our evening meals at the table so Kian can see that is where you are 'meant' to eat rather than sat on the couch like we have done for a long long time
it was suggested on another forum to have him sat where he is familiar with things so this morning he had his toast with me, sat in his rocker watching Sky Sports News ----dont know what it is about that channel but he's always watching it.it will even calm him down if he's having a moan. and he did eat some of the toast before deciding it was more fun to rock himself (must change it to just being a chair).
when we eat in the kitchen, he's either watching the washer or drier or looking outside. we have big double patio doors so he loves looking out in the garden. i did manage to get some food into hom, but at times it feels like i;m force-feeding him rather than him wanting it.
