Do you think he may have autistic tendancies? I've been doing a fair bit of digging into Dyspraxia recently and you'd be amazed how much of what you are saying there is true of that.
There are also unconfirmed links of truamatic birth with dyspraxia. Has he ever been tested?

He has Autistic tendances but is not Autistic. It goes hand in hand with the Hemiplegia. We have always known that but it seems to be getting worse. And because of his speech it's so hard to work out what is going on with him. It took me about half an hour to work out that noise makes his head sore (and he doesn't like the friday night thing because its too loud).

Anyone know which parasol would fit a Quinny Zapp please? (my mum's friend is asking for her granddaughter's pushchair.. I've not just the ranks of the pram addicts yet! :o)

ETA: Tara, we bought Rhys the ELC one a couple of months ago :) It's lovely, very sturdy. He pushes himself up on the side of it but is too dinky to reach up for the handle and pull himself to standing with that

My DD1 is being tested for Dyspraxia (my brother had it and she's just like him) aand my little 2 have autistic tendencies so I'm happy to answer questions about either :rotfl:

I didn't know it had been linked to traumatic births, DD1 was big and needed forceps after a long hard labour :(

Has anyone (mums of Autistic types) read The out of sync child?

It's been recommended to me by another Hemi-mum after I asked about Christopher's reaction to loud noises (he has started walking around with his hands over her ears if there is anything 'loud', like the tv). But it looks a bit... airy fairy to me.

Ooops, forgot to actually answer your question. I would give it a read, you may find it gives you a different perspective on stuff you already know IYKWIM?
Get your library to get it in for you incase you think it is too airy-fairy to spend your cash on lol

Suasn there is a handy 'equipment list' for homebirth on here http://www.homebirth.org.uk/marycronk/ I wouldn't be surprised if you already know of Mary, she is fab!
Thanks, no I didn't know about her.

Awww, Susan...tell Alice the babies are on their mommies' knees because they are too small to sit up on their own (except Erin who is being a big girl on the table)!
:) I think she imagines all babies to be more advanced than they really are. The only realistic thing her "babies" seem to do is have milk.

As Tia's busy, can someone help as I know we are gonna come to blows when he gets home, at the bottom is part of the letter put with the invites. His brother has just rung saying he won't be staying after we have eaten at 7pm as they have a birthday party to go to. I thought what I wrote explained to people the importance of the engagement party, was it not enough, and now he'll want to tell people???
What everyone else said. BIL will realise well before seven that it's a wedding and wedding reception. If he still chooses to leave then it's his loss not yours.

There are mostly unconfirmed links but it makes sense really with the neurone wosits and stuff, totally can't get my brain going today!
My DD has it, I'm certain of it but the school keep saying the tests are inconclusive. Her problem is her gross motor skills are pretty good its all the other bits that go along with it she has.
Her birth was truamatic as I had eclampsia.
