Has anyone (mums of Autistic types) read The out of sync child?

It's been recommended to me by another Hemi-mum after I asked about Christopher's reaction to loud noises (he has started walking around with his hands over her ears if there is anything 'loud', like the tv). But it looks a bit... airy fairy to me.

No sorry, DS1 hates loud stuff too, especially arguements going on around him! :(

    Evening all..

*hugs* (especially to Beenie!) and yays as required :)

I'm shattered.. and my bum really hurts! :o Now that my feet are used to heels again, it's my bum that's suffering with all the walking I'm doing (if that makes any sense at all?!). I wonder if they make insoles for [safety] boots like the soles of those new tone-your-bum-as-you-walk/run type trainers...

We didn't get in 'til half six (two hours after I left work) and I've not moved much from the sofa since. Really need to sort tea and go to Tesco, but not for tea thankfully so can go after a little nap... zzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

You can PM me csh... I'm not real ;)

Tia, I'll ask my friend if she's read it... Her son freaks at loud noises too...

Just investigated the dishwasher... He managed to snap the plastic elbow joint of the inlet pipe... I used to have 2 spares in the shed, did something with them when we got the new washing machine... Who's money's on "threw them away" so I have to get a new one?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

He has always been a bit freaked by certain things, but he got better and now all of a sudden (over the past few weeks) he puts his hands over his ears and says his head is sore because of the noise. But the tv or whatever isn't that loud.

He's also drooling all the time right now too.

And eating paper, I had to fish sodden tissues out from the side of the couch where he had stashed them and that was after I told him off for eating them! He sat there and ate tissues one after the other! Like they were sweets!

Do you think he may have autistic tendancies? I've been doing a fair bit of digging into Dyspraxia recently and you'd be amazed how much of what you are saying there is true of that.
There are also unconfirmed links of truamatic birth with dyspraxia. Has he ever been tested?

My DS used to eat the cardboard covers from video tapes, yucky! Bit of a fetish.

Ouchy for sore bottom Elle. Was thinking about getting Maddy one of those walkers with bricks in for her 1st birthday, building bricks are cool!

*waits for Csh to tell us*
