Lol, that comp win won't be appearing on the fairy exchange!(i'm on some kind of roll!) glad they arrived safe, mel, and hope u like tea, lol.
Muso, fwiw we had/have quite a lot of milk sickies with finn. He's bf, too, so it's not necessarily formulz related! Is it causing pain? He has no pain, just varying degrees of pukiness...apparently some babies are just that way and can take up to 1 yr old to grow out of.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Henry is also a very pukey baby, particularly after milk. He is much better now than when he was little, but still more sicky than most. It doesn't bother him at all though, and as he has gained weight well no-one was ever worried about it (including us).:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Elliot grew out of his reflux at around 14 months old, I did worry it would never end. There's light at the end of the tunnelMommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0

So glad you had a better night Hammy. Alex was good again, I DF at 9.30pm, he woke about 1.30am bottle again. Then woke at 5.45am, I left him until 6.15, went in turned him around, put dummy in and he went back off until 7.15am
Well Done Holly and David for being good! My sister is moaning about the new Active Fit nappies (the Sesame Street ones) leaking after 2 hours but I find them OK during the day and we use Baby Dry at night. We have had a few leaky ones but I suspect its where J is a wriggle bum and I've not put it on tight enough
There was something on Watchdogs a few weeks ago about complaints against the new Active Fit. I think there ok though. Stocked up in Boots yesterday, 2 boxes of Active Fit and 2 boxes of Baby Dry.musogirl295 wrote: »I was having a meltdown without it yesterday. Any tips on controlling reflux would be great!
Alex had reflux. He was prescribed infant gaviscon, which is powder that goes in their milk. It did help and worked wonders for DS1. But Alex needed something more, I got the GP to describe Enfamil A.R.
But there is a staydown milk you can buy made by SMA - have seen it in Asda, boots and tesco. (Sorry not sure if you are BF of FF).
You are right, keeping them upright helps. I am hoping that once Alex is totally stable in sitting up that his reflux will ease off. Muslin clothes are a godsend too.0 -
H does like her dummy but she always refuses it if shes making her hungry face and actions!
We're formula feeding at the mo - we didnt have a prob when she was bf, but then again she wasn't taking enough milk then so it wouldn't have been a prob!
She doesn't seem to care, in fact a couple of times we've looking over and shes been fast asleep with milk all over her face!0 -

We do actually drink PG:T...well I don't drink any tea atm because it gives me heartburn:cool:
Roll on summer holidays...the boys will be absolutely thrilled:j
FWIW I really think that trip should go on the fairy exchange;):rotfl:
I comped for a short time while I was on Maternity leave with K, and didn't win a sausage....I think I might start again:pUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

I could be wrong, but I think "reflux" is more when it's painful, whereas what you seem to describe (and what Finn - and Henry, sounds like) do is "posseting". If it doesn't cause her pain or affect her weight gain, then I don't think there's any need to worry about it. Just carry lots of muslin cloths everywhere! (which is what we do as you never know when it will come out)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Mine were bf too.. until 1 was diagnosed lactose intolerant.. there is lactose in breastmilk of course, which is why I suggested a change of milk to either soya or the ones where the lactose is already partially digested.Elliot grew out of his reflux at around 14 months old, I did worry it would never end. Not necessarily.. my boy used to spill like a jug when tipped.. if he laid flat the milk poured out of him. If he was upright it was projectile.
It helped to keep him upright for an hour after feeds as that is how long it takes to empty the stomach apparently. He slept in his chair and was never laid flat. He stopped breathing after choking on the gas from the gut bacteria that hated the lactose.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
