  • Yippee Jack and David :j:j:j. We had the best night for months too- 9-6:30 with no wakes in the middle. I'm so pleased that he has proved that he can still sleep through.

Gym- we've had an Antilop since H was about four months and he's always been able to sit in it (although he is quite big). At first we just put him in it at the table while we ate so he got used to it. He now loves it. You could always try Guy in one in the Ikea cafe.

Hugs for your rubbish morning, 3. V sounds very cute though.

Hope you feel better soon, SM.

Krystal- I need to check insurance policy. Not sure that we have acc damage. Thankfully it was only one of those cheapy netbooks. We've had 2 years solid use out of it, so not too horrific.

Baby will certainly be kept a very good distance from the new one! Our floors are all laminated so don't have to worry about that and we've covered the sofa with fleece blankets. They're getting washed quite frequently at the moment.

Trouble is she keeps asking for food, we check all the other options, give her the formula and then half an hour later she'll bring it right back up again, so I have absolutely no idea how much she's actually drinking.

Is it possible she has developed lactose intolerance or something as well?

Could you try a different milk for a while see if it helps (I got soya milk or pregestamil on prescription for mine)

Mine had milk so thick the hole in the teat was huge lol...

I really hope this one doesn't have reflux.. I've done 2 so far. and it isn't pleasant.. I felt my entire house stank

Sami I love Edgar's name, if we ever have a second boy I think it'll be his name - OH is totally sold because he thinks Edgar Davids has the coolest name ever!
OMG OMG why have I never heard of him!?!?!? Edgar's name comes from http://fvnorthwestern.com/crew-2/edgar-hansen/

'Sophie' is the giraffe teether right? Why is it so amazing? OHs dad is off to France shortly and as I'm cheap, I was planning to get him to pick one up for us, but figured I'd need to justify why he must get it?!
it just is :D Ed loves his, he's worn away half the markings from the constant chewing
Tara sorry but the tan hand mark made me laugh :rotfl: Did also make me think I need to be more careful, 4 weeks 6 days til we get married  Have you pics of your wedding dress? I need inspiration :o
I got my dress from bhs about 3 weeks before the wedding, thankfully it just needed taking up a little which was done within a couple of days by a local seamstress piccy[LINK REMOVED]
We've been up ages - Guy decided 4.45 was wake up time and didn't want to drop back off, wasn't 'my night' but got up all the same so we've been playing and only now has he gone back to sleep! Took him to the docs yesterday to get his head checked out after our trip down the stairs, thankfully he's fine, I felt like the most awful parent ever though, was saying to the doc I don't know how anyone could hurt a child on purpose as I felt so awful doing it by accident, you must be totally stone hearted to do it on purpose :(

Busy day today, off to Ikea once it opens (debating getting an Antilop - when would he realistically start using it?) then need to go to the mortgage peoples, sort out my house survey, clean the house properly for tomorrows viewing and sort out all my c*rp to take to do a carboot on Sunday morning, tired just thinking about it :o
I think the antilop is best for when they can sit up well on their own, we did BLW so he was sitting when we started anyway, I think they are fabulous tho. Ed hates the expensive chicco polly, we bought for Chris because its not upright enough for him.

I've had mine on prescription since I was 15, back in the days when clarityn was horrifically expensive! They moved me to neoclarityn when that stopped working.

I think I'll buy some zirtek save hassle of docs appointment!

We had a really really good night. He was in bed at 8.45 which is the earliest so far. We went to bed at midnight anh he was stirring a bit and kicked his sheet off, but he slept until 5am! He went back until 8am altho he did keep whinging, snuffling and squealing inbetween sleeps. I'm not getting my hopes up for this being regular thing as the heat makes him sleepy and he has a bit of a cold i think.

He was really snuffly when DH did his nappy this morning, so much so that he wouldnt leave for work (T was in his chair) until i came down coz he didnt want to leave him alone. I think it's just a cold and a result of lying on his back all night but I'm just a bit concerned with it being friday and the doctors being closed all weekend. Do you think there's anything they can do to help or should i just keep him sat up all day? He seems well in himself and is feeding with no problems (he struggled on wed eve when cold first started) so he cant be too blocked up.

Hope everyone else is ok and had a good night
don't buy zirtek though get the un labeled cheepy ones that will just say citrazine or get the loratadine (sp?) there both on the ok list and about the same price.

oooh MFD - they're talking about step-mums cutting their step kids hair without asking the mum first on The Wright Stuff

Muso - have you been to the docs about the reflux? if not then get gone.

I saw this the other day, quite a few on ebay, not sure if it's of use to those with little refluxers http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Summer-Infant-Supreme-sleep-positioner-with-heartbeat_W0QQitemZ300438151827QQcategoryZ20421QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D20%26pmod%3D120574499123%26po%3DLWI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7754894123440498498

must run for a shower, got stupid childrens nurse coming, I tried to put here off but no, I'm too soft! will explain all later but she's coming to do Edgar's 12mth check to asses his speech. I must be strong when she comes and remind her there's nowt wrong with his gob its his leg that's the problem and I'm seeing my HV about it so what's the point in seeing you because you didn't see him 2 months ago so you have no idea if it's got any better!!!

PP- it's something were defo going to keep an eye on. At the moment its not every feed. Tends to be the ones where she asks for 2 in fairly quick succession. We've also found it helps making her sit upright for a good 10 mins after shes finished eating.

Checked insurance - no accidental damage unfortunately.

New laptops just arrived!:j Pretty impressive- we only ordered it at 9.30 last night!
  • Sami - who are they?

Did I tell you the story about when hubby cut all DSS hair and took him home and his mother cried

DSS now has his hair short - thankfully! He looks like a boy rather than a walking mop :D

Ooh well done on your win Aless :T

Hope you feel better soon SM. :(

and :T to Jack, Fitz-Holly, muso-Holly and David for sleeping well :D

3 - i hope your day doesn't get any worse (if that's even possible :p)

Amber's had porrige and toast and now she looks like she's been dipped in the chip pan cos she was rubbing butter all over herself :D She was rubbing it on her toes and sucking it off, strange baby. (i didn't buy unsalted so is she gonna die?? > still freaked out by the salt overdose stories i read!)

I've been to have coil fitted :( It hurt!!! The last one i had fitted i didn't even feel, but this was sharp and horrible and argh! Nurse and doc were amazed i didn't even flinch and got straight up. Did they expect me to lie there for 10 mins crying? :p (i could have!)

I just had a horrible feeling it was French day at school today and i sent DS in his uniform, and i didn't see any other kids cos i dumped him outside the gate without getting out of the car!! I rang school and she was like eh? no it's 30th June.

Sounds like she is maybe just wanting the comfort of sucking on those feeds and doesnt actually need the food. Does she have a dummy? Thomas won't take one :( When he's colicky we spend hours with a finger in his mouth!
