OH is the common one in this house, 4th!

    Then J is 7th, L is 1103rd, me 1163rd and V 2643rd. :D

L is quite suprising as it's much more common here.

    I'm having a bad morning already. :(

J managed to smash the microwave door and cut his arm in the process. While V was safely trapped in the living room so I could clean up the glass and J's arm, she found a nice black pen and did a little bit of decorating on my nice plain cream wallpaper. :(

And in L's school it's charity day, where some children do little games at playtime like guess the teddies name, how many sweets in the jar etc. She's gone to school without her purse which is full of 2p's & 5p's - when she realises it'll be the end of the world. I suppose I should be a good Mummy and take it round to school for her.

I'm not sure if I need a new microwave. I only use it for V's bottles :naughty:, and occasional ready brek.

How is everyone else this morning? Better than me I hope. :o

I would thank you krystal but I can't find the thanks button!!!!!!

Think I'll pop out for some baby vicks - should help my blocked hayfever nose too lol. My pillow is normally permanenyly covered in olbas oil in summer but his basket is up against the bed so I cant use it until he goes into his cot

I used Olibas Oil on a tissue under my pillow when Jack was in our room :silenced:

Well Done Holly and David for being good! My sister is moaning about the new Active Fit nappies (the Sesame Street ones) leaking after 2 hours but I find them OK during the day and we use Baby Dry at night. We have had a few leaky ones but I suspect its where J is a wriggle bum and I've not put it on tight enough :o

Oh 3 - big hugs. Was it during his banging routine? Perhaps this will put a stop to it, I would get a cheap one. I only use mine for bottles and cooking rice or baked beans

Krystal - but maybe she just needs a day or two of tantrums to learn that she won't get fed that early. I don't have much room to talk, since we're going through something similar (waking up at 5-5:30 instead of 6-6:30) but as Caitlyn's much older maybe she would get the idea. Not sure, of course! I'm sure someone with older babba will be along shortly :D:D.
I know... I just dread the few days of hour long tantrums so close to getting up time.. lol... I also need to stop feeding her to sleep for her afternoon nap... I'm thinking if we put her into Aimee's room for sleeping, then I can put her in there for naps too... But that rely's on Hubby shifting the wardrobe and Aimee's bed and I've been asking since about February...

Keely Lovely to see you. How is Elliot doing? Is he a proper driving you insane toddler now?

Hello :) Elliot has been driving me insane for a while now lol-keeps me on my toes! He's doing really well, especially with eating. He insists on feeding himself with his little fork and does quite a good job!

sometimes o find the pharmacy staff in boots quite condescending.

when collected my BP meds yesterday, the pharmacist commented that i was 'very young' to have high blood pressure. and how long had i been taking it? not that it was any of his business....
yes i know i;m young for high BP, yes i have had all the tests, not there is no underlying reason....well apart from needing to lose weight and exercise more.......

I've had problems with my blood pressure for about 8 years now (i'm almost 26) and I get the 'you're too young to have high bp' off the gp and people all the time. I've had regular blood tests and even went for an ECG, and nothing came back wrong. I've kept my weight down (and still loosing some now), eat healthily, do exercise and don't drink or smoke-so the gp can't really tell me off for that! It's a lot to do with stress and not dealing with it well, along with white coat syndrome.

I did have some good news yesterday that my new bp pills are working and it was actually low for once! :)
I am :D we're not telling people in real life just yet... Just the not real internet people... And all of Dave's colleagues... And my Aunt, Brother, Mum and both our Dads lol...

Sorry to hear about your troubles, hope things get better for you :) It's toddlers next week if you fancy it?

    Congrats! :)

I've been going to a group near me on Thursday's which is enough for me right now (and money is still tight to be honest-ive got a bus pass but its for diamond buses not the west mids ones).

Quick Question!- Elliot loves screaming, is this just another phase he will get over? The more I tell him shhh the more he grins and does it more! The looks I get from people! :o He doesn't do it because he's having a paddy, just for the fun of it! He seems to enjoy the attention as he smiles at people who look!

I've had mine on prescription since I was 15, back in the days when clarityn was horrifically expensive! They moved me to neoclarityn when that stopped working.
That's really strange because the only difference between clarityn and neoclarityn is that clarityn contains the active and inactive isomers whereas neoclarityn just contains the active isomer so if clarityn wasn't working I can't see how neo-clarityn would.

Yes, he was doing his usual morning banging ritual :(.

I didn't realise he'd cut himself at first, then saw blood all over his white school t-shirt! Then paniced thinking he'd split his wrist - but when I washed it it was only a couple of little grazes.

Actually it was an Active Fit. I usually put Baby Dry on at night too if I have both in, although when I have used Active Fit, it's never been a problem. I expect hubby didn't put it on very well as he was commenting the other day how much longer her legs seem these days (as he failed to restrain her from putting her feet in the poo!) and she is wriggling much more!

Gym - We tried Holly in the Antilop when she was about 5 months old and we felt she was too small. We bought a Chicco Polly highchair as it looked more secure, but actually didn't use that much either as she slipped down in it. I don't think she was big and strong enough to be comfortable in either highchair until she was about 8 months, so everyone must be different. I think most people usually feed them in the bumbo/on their lap/in a rocking chair etc if they are youngish when you start weaning.

SJ - Have a nice day with Millie's Mum and tell her we said hello! x

3 - Hope your day gets better.

Glam - why has your avvie disappeared??!

Aww, how cute! L has been trying to teach V to use a fork, by saying stab-stab as she picks something up with hers. V is copying saying dab-dab.

I hope the screaming is another phase - we're having it too, she's being very screamy and shouty and thinks it's really funny.

She was really cute last night though. She kept going to the living room door, poking her head out into the hall, shouting a load of babble then coming back in an closing the door. Repeat for half an hour! :rotfl:I'd love to know what she thought she was shouting, and who she was shouting at.

Wow 3, his banging must be quite hard to break the microwave! Will he have a problem now that the microwave isn't there to bang or will it move to something else?

Keely, he probably just likes the sound he makes... If he's not distressed then I would just ignore the sound... If people stare then just smile, shrug and say "He's a typical man, loves the sound of his own voice..."
