Muso - have you been to the docs about the reflux? if not then get gone.
I saw this the other day, quite a few on ebay, not sure if it's of use to those with little refluxers http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Summer-Infant-Supreme-sleep-positioner-with-heartbeat_W0QQitemZ300438151827QQcategoryZ20421QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D20%26pmod%3D120574499123%26po%3DLWI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7754894123440498498
must run for a shower, got stupid childrens nurse coming, I tried to put here off but no, I'm too soft! will explain all later but she's coming to do Edgar's 12mth check to asses his speech. I must be strong when she comes and remind her there's nowt wrong with his gob its his leg that's the problem and I'm seeing my HV about it so what's the point in seeing you because you didn't see him 2 months ago so you have no idea if it's got any better!!!0 -
PP- it's something were defo going to keep an eye on. At the moment its not every feed. Tends to be the ones where she asks for 2 in fairly quick succession. We've also found it helps making her sit upright for a good 10 mins after shes finished eating.
Checked insurance - no accidental damage unfortunately.
New laptops just arrived!:j Pretty impressive- we only ordered it at 9.30 last night!0 -
Sami - who are they?
Did I tell you the story about when hubby cut all DSS hair and took him home and his mother cried
DSS now has his hair short - thankfully! He looks like a boy rather than a walking mop
please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Amber's had porrige and toast and now she looks like she's been dipped in the chip pan cos she was rubbing butter all over herself
She was rubbing it on her toes and sucking it off, strange baby. (i didn't buy unsalted so is she gonna die?? > still freaked out by the salt overdose stories i read!)
I've been to have coil fitted
It hurt!!! The last one i had fitted i didn't even feel, but this was sharp and horrible and argh! Nurse and doc were amazed i didn't even flinch and got straight up. Did they expect me to lie there for 10 mins crying?
(i could have!)
I just had a horrible feeling it was French day at school today and i sent DS in his uniform, and i didn't see any other kids cos i dumped him outside the gate without getting out of the car!! I rang school and she was like eh? no it's 30th June. :doh:0 -

Sounds like she is maybe just wanting the comfort of sucking on those feeds and doesnt actually need the food. Does she have a dummy? Thomas won't take one

Muso, fwiw we had/have quite a lot of milk sickies with finn. He's bf, too, so it's not necessarily formulz related! Is it causing pain? He has no pain, just varying degrees of pukiness...apparently some babies are just that way and can take up to 1 yr old to grow out of.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Henry is also a very pukey baby, particularly after milk. He is much better now than when he was little, but still more sicky than most. It doesn't bother him at all though, and as he has gained weight well no-one was ever worried about it (including us).:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Elliot grew out of his reflux at around 14 months old, I did worry it would never end. There's light at the end of the tunnel

So glad you had a better night Hammy. Alex was good again, I DF at 9.30pm, he woke about 1.30am bottle again. Then woke at 5.45am, I left him until 6.15, went in turned him around, put dummy in and he went back off until 7.15am
Well Done Holly and David for being good! My sister is moaning about the new Active Fit nappies (the Sesame Street ones) leaking after 2 hours but I find them OK during the day and we use Baby Dry at night. We have had a few leaky ones but I suspect its where J is a wriggle bum and I've not put it on tight enough
There was something on Watchdogs a few weeks ago about complaints against the new Active Fit. I think there ok though. Stocked up in Boots yesterday, 2 boxes of Active Fit and 2 boxes of Baby Dry.musogirl295 wrote: »I was having a meltdown without it yesterday. Any tips on controlling reflux would be great!
Alex had reflux. He was prescribed infant gaviscon, which is powder that goes in their milk. It did help and worked wonders for DS1. But Alex needed something more, I got the GP to describe Enfamil A.R.
But there is a staydown milk you can buy made by SMA - have seen it in Asda, boots and tesco. (Sorry not sure if you are BF of FF).
You are right, keeping them upright helps. I am hoping that once Alex is totally stable in sitting up that his reflux will ease off. Muslin clothes are a godsend too.0 -
H does like her dummy but she always refuses it if shes making her hungry face and actions!
We're formula feeding at the mo - we didnt have a prob when she was bf, but then again she wasn't taking enough milk then so it wouldn't have been a prob!
She doesn't seem to care, in fact a couple of times we've looking over and shes been fast asleep with milk all over her face!0
