Well Tahlie must have been listening to me last night she slept 11 till 7 without waking
It is so not fair. But :T for Tahlies big sleep.
ah those advantages of BF again!
LOL at uterine holocaust!
This one is fierce but I suspect these are the afterpains I've been hearing about! Last night it felt like early labour... eeeeeeeep!:D
I have the "Uterine holocaust" thing, period pain is horrendous, wasn't like this after Joe. And i'm on the pill. It ss quite unbearable for a few days, but seems to stop when the bleeding starts. Should really bite the bullet and go discuss other forms of contraception, but really don't want to be changing to anything that will cause weight gain or long term bleeding. And apparently at "my age" i should be looking at alternatives to the pill, so said the nurse practitioner. Since when did 36 become so  old.
Oh and congrats to V for walking.0 -

meh! 36 is the new 21 dontcha know;) I am finding baby number 2 to be quite enough of a contraceptive WM
Quite agree Weezl, have no idea where some of you get your libidos from. My Mojo has well and truely packed its bags and gone on holiday.
Also OH's crappy, unthoughtful and selfish behaviour acts as a fab contraception too.0 -

Aw, that would be lovely. Can we have cake too? Why does Cardiff have to be so far away?
How is the gorgeous Fergie? Is he the perfect big brother?
WM My mojo is here, as is OH's, they're just on different time zones!
Our Dr told me that after 35 you should be looking at other forms of contraception. So now we make sure one of us always has one foot on the floor! :rotfl::beer:0 -
susan, I've been sat here mulling about you whilst doing a feed
Some thoughts about pregnancy number 2.
perhaps try living/imagining 'as if' it's already here and you are already PG and needing 15 hrs sleep per day. (obviously I hope it won't be like that, but maybe planning for the worst means everything else is a bonus)
I'll put an example of what we did in brackets to make it make more sense!
What extra resources do you need? (naps, extra food, babysitting so you can nap, a cleaner once a week while you are heavily PG?)
What do you need Alice to be aware of/do/cope with? (encouraging fergie to use sippy cup would have been a good one here!) edit: Alice sounds like a very thoughtful understanding little girl, I wonder what she'd say if you asked her what things she could do while mummy lies down (ie not asleep but just quietly on the sofa)
What tasks that you do now can you let go of/compromise on/delegate? (we let go of the idea of using reusable nappies while I was exhausted, also when fergie was little we bought bread rather than made it, can you maybe get flour milled already from somewhere?)
What approximate timeline will the PG have and what does that mean about DH's working patterns etc...? (ie if he is still going to be doing his extra christmas work, what will that mean your day will look like then, assuming you'll be 7 months PG then...)
what extra people resources do you have? (I know you probably don't want your mum's involvement, but is there anyone from church you trust who could maybe have Alice for a couple of afternoons a week? If you don't like to ask a favour, could it be a skills swap? DH sorts her garden out this summer, so that next spring she has Alice while you sleep?)
what things can you do now to give yourself maximum help later? ( I filled both freezers with meals, stockpiled dried goods and decluttered every conceivable cupboard I could think of, also automated as many financial tasks I could think of.)
Not sure if any of the above is useful, but I offer it all with love

naughty OH! Please remind him from me that you are a goddess. As are all mummies(No-one who watches us go through labour can ever be mean to us again!)

He's not so perfect due to wanting to give Kessie things;). This morning he gave Kessie OH's car keys, my coffee cup and his best book 'this is my dinosaur'. But giving usually involves jabbing him in the eye with them :rotfl:
I shall write to Cardiff council and requst our whole city moves to be nearer all of you on the parent threadI feel I have paid for this many times over with my massive council tax

But he is being very kind wanting to share things with his little brother. :A
V likes to share her food with us, but insists she has a lick/chew/suck first, before taking it out of her mouth to offer it to you. _pale_:beer:0 -
