I thought after pains happened sooner after the birth? I got stabbing pains inside me during breastfeeding the first couple of weeks.
Is OH still on half days to help you? One of my biggest worries when Alice was little was being able to manage when my periods came back but they have been nowhere near as bad as they used to be.
My after pains lasted a good fortnight!0 -

Must go and find Alice - she told me she was going to bed but I have a nurse's appointment in twenty minutes because the doctor took my eyedrops off repeat prescription and the pollen season has started. Well that sort of plan has worked for us! I'm always right out my bed as soon as he stirs and putting the dummy back in. Hes not even got a chance to decide if he actually wants his dummy or is just rolling over and I'm already up! OH works 12 hr shifts with heavy machinery so I don't really want him going to work tired!
I've decided this is the problem with his broken nights as hes not getting a chance to settle himself.
OH on a run of nightshifts so I've just been ignoring K to see if he settles himself when given half a chance. And he does!! Only needs dummy putting back in at 4am now instead of every 20 mins from 2amzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hes moving into his own room tomorrow so he can't wake OH and will be left to settle himself*. I'll just have the monitor on very quiet cos I'm such a light sleeper.
*Like for 3 mins as he grumbles, I'm not actually gonna let him cry
Well, I did get a better sleep as she never woke up until 6am! Then I brought her in with me and went back to sleep until 7.30. She did moan a couple of times during the night, and I think if DH was there, I would have probably got up. But not sure, it might just have been a good night. Ah well, I think I will just remain in the spare room for the next couple of nights as a test! Not that I enjoy having a double bed to myself you understand!
Will you miss K when he is in his own room. I did for the first couple of nights, but quickly got used to her not being there. I suppose it's good for them to get some independence.
I wouldn't leave Holly overnight yet either. I would miss her. This Friday, we have a wedding, so leaving her from about 1pm until 1am. That will definitely be the longest! I hope she is a good girl for MIL!
Right, Holly is napping so it's my shower time then we are off to Kindermusik for the last time. Have a nice day everyone. x
P.S. Hello Glam if you are lurking! You've been MIA for a couple of days. Hope you are ok. x0 -
Tara- when you're next here, I'm excited to see your wedding plans are all coming together! Its amazing how quick everything seems to happen when you set a date eh?!
My friend is getting married in August this year and had her 'hair trial' about a yr ago!! Thats crazy talk!
Much prefer your way of doing it!
With her over 2 yrs in the planning I think she'll be on a big come-down after.0 -
DK - am literally your neighbour then as I live in brooklands and yes that the mothercare I work at and would love to meet up as I have no close by mummy friends and don't get out much lol!
How exciting - wonder if I've passed you in the street. I'll send you a message, let me know when you want to meet for coffee.
I go to a nice baby group on Fridays if you're interested and am looking for more so would be nice to have a partner in crime!
Weezl - lovely to see you. I'm not planning to TTC as I'm already cooking another, due October!0 -
