I've already been and bought everything to start weaning, and was gonna give her some baby rice the other day because she'd been unsettled and showing the signs for a good few days, but then decided i'm too lazy and will leave it longer. She's ok now though so i'm assuming growth spurt.
She's 4m+1w now, Cameron was well on his way by now, think we started at 3 and a half months. But the advice was to start at 4m then.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Then we got a bag with leaflets, coupons, a sippy cup and some spoons. I can remember the cups as they were all blue and the HV was really apolgetic as Charlotte was the only girl and she didn't have any pink cups left
We were given 2 sippy cups at Holly's Childsmile appointment, and the same happened - both were blue and the dentist apologised! I think they all must be blue and they just pretend to have run out. Either that or there are a lot of boys!
OH! Cath Kidston on a pram! jealous! It would be mean for me to have one with 2 boys right? xxx:)
It's red with white polka dots, so no ditsy flowers in sight! One review on the Kiddicare website said she was using it for her son and it looks unisex enough once he was in it! They are dear though and don't seem to have made it to the second hand market yet!Beenie, if you join the HiPP Organic baby club thingee via their website, they send you some good freebies. Aptamil also send a sachet of baby rice & both send vouchers.
Will see some of you later in IKEA!
Aless - as well as Hipp, sign up for Heinz Baby as they seem to send out the most vouchers - free biscotti and sauce etc.
London Girls - have a good day out. x0 -
I don't think I can afford to have any more children.
Since having Holly, I have replaced the washing machine, dishwasher and laptop. In addition to these breaking down, the tumble drier doesn't work properly, and neither does my oven but we are making do. My electric windows on my car have failed and had to be fixed. Our house alarm developed a fault and we had to pay an engineer to fix it. Yesterday we had a heating engineer come out to look at the faulty boiler (which DH already replaced a part on a couple of weeks ago). And last night, the microwave stopped working.
All in the space of 7 short months. I should have named Holly, Lucky.0 -
Morning lovelies
Weezl, you have some time for us this morning, how lovelyHow are you?
Today I have to buy a rubbish bin for the kitchen, preferably one that doesn't cost €125  Other stuff on the list, including worrying about OH. One of the people in the department he's trying to get promoted into sent a very public email handing OH his bottom last night (unjustified; the guy seems not to realise that telling a customer you can do something means you actually have to be allowed by your own company to do it) so OH is in hardcore damage limitation.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning
:j:T for clever babies
& lots of hugs for anyone who needs themor would just like one
& a:coffee: for Kindof and anyone else who's exhausted!
Beenie sorry to hear about stupid neighbours, I really hope council get themselves in gear, it's been going on for ages, must be driving you up the wall
Think the weaning stuff depends on your area - not sure if we get anything in Leeds but I know they do in Bradford (as I know a HV there and she gave me a bag of their stuff) - they also get free toothpaste?!
Kindof hope the 6 week check goes well for you both & you can find out more about E's wind probs - my HV mentioned that they can do a stool sample on baby to check for lactose intolerance, might be worth asking for this, just in case?
All the pushchair talk reminds me, I saw someone with an amazing bright lime green pushchair yesterday - looked a bit like this but nicer, any ideas what it is & where I might find it?
Weezl, not cruel at all to get the Cath Kidston! We saw it in Boots the other day and I told OH I was going to get it, he was mortified :rotfl: However, I think pushchairs are for the enjoyment of mummy as much as baby, so as long as it's comfy I think we get to choose the way it looks
Sorry if I've missed anything big, have only managed to read a few pages back & I need to get myself up before Guy decides to get up! Todays task is to find a sleeping solution, he's too big for his moses and I don't want to switch him to his room til we can get a lock put on the door (cats who can open doors ) so going to see if I can get a travel cot or similar to fit in our room...any tips on the cheapest place?
Baby news here - I'm convinced he started to giggle yesterday just a tiny bit! If I sing stupid songs and laugh he grins really wide then does this little throaty noise... Even if it's not a giggle, I like to think it is, just for me& his spots are clearing as is his cradle cap (got a baby brush yesterday & took loads of it off, he loved it!!)
& mummy news...tried to buy new bra's yesterday and couldn't even get into my pre preg size?! Despite weighing less than pre preg I seem to be fatter and not fitting in my clothes properly, which is rubbish
& OH is trying to talk me into going out one night this weekend & leaving G with my parents, but I just don't want toI know I wouldn't relax having him sleeping somewhere else, but OH thinks I'm being OTT, maybe I am?! Either way, I look carp in all my clothes so I refuse to go out anyway
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Thanks, will do! Free biscotti sounds cool . I want a free sippy cup!! Apparently at 16 weeks (according to the red book), we're supposed to receive an invite to talk about weaning, but I haven't heard squat. We actually haven't seen the HV since he was about 4 weeks old as I've just been using when he goes for his jabs for him to get weighed. Might take him to the clinic in a couple of weeks so can weigh him again and see if we can get weaning freebies.
