beenie how about ... no i can not look after your bratty kid because if you hadnt noticed i have my own family to look after so if you want a babysitter then hire one as im done get the trouble for no money :D ... if not the third one of your options x
haha i do love your style, you say the stuff that i think, but don't dare ever say :D

Now i need to look busy for when she gets back. And i need to think up some activities that we do all week that makes me "so busy"

I already have swimming and Beavers, but that only accounts for 2 nights. Footy on Saturday. How about "i look after my sister's kids every Monday and have cancelled that too" (see it's nothing personal, i did it to my own family etc)

She found it... After some tears and tantrums when I turned the TV off until it was found...

I do actually have a back up key... My friend has the same cupboard and she forgot to take the key out one night and her son got it the next morning and spirited it away... She rang IKEA and they sent her 2 spares through the post, then she found her original key so she said I can have one of her spares... But that's irrelevant!

Glad you stood up for yourself Beenie, it's awful when you feel under obligation to other peoples bratty kids...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Beenie.. why should you have to lie? It is your home, your time and your ears he is battering.. just keep saying no!!! You have been more than reasonable already.. I won't even have my grandson so I sure as hell wouldn't be looking after some other random brat!!

    Argh!!

Well i didn't say 'NO' :D but i said "sorry i just can't do it i've taken too much on and it's hard as i'm on my own, i was even meant to be doing a college course but i need a job before that.."

I feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad :(:(:(:(:(:( But i have to keep reminding myself that this kid has 2 parents who work full time and it's not up to me to make sure he's looked after, they can more than afford a childminder for a few hours.

Well done Beenie...and dont feel bad.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

Ah thanks everyone, you're right, i shouldn't have to lie but she will question me and try and catch me out and somehow she'll manage to talk me round. So i feel like i need to have an answer to everything she is gonna say. She obviously sees that i'm a soft touch and she is the kind of person who everyone knows because she's so loud and has no shame.

On the upside, i've sent texts to loads of long lost friends and asked one with a newborn who i haven't seen since she was 5m preg (i'm a bad friend :() to come to the BF group tomorrow, she hasn't been before so she said as long as i meet her outside she'll go!
I was like ok but i've got someone meeting me outside aswell, cos i was scared too haha! (i've oly ever been to a diff smaller one and this is a big one for the whole town not just my area)

Just nipping on quickly whilst waiting on DH getting home and dinner being ready (lazy dinner - bought a reduced Gastropub Cottage Pie and reduced veg in M&S!).

MIL came for the day and we went to Mothercare as DH last night mangled the microwave steriliser. He put the bottle brush in it and it melted and the whole thing was stinking of burnt plastic! I think GISI had asked about them recently maybe? Anyway, they were half price in Mothercare which is why I went there to get another one.

Also, they had Pampers Sensitive wipes - boxes of 9 for £6.99. Thought that sounded quite good, but I already bought a batch at Asda at the weekend.
