Beenie, it doesn't matter now but I was just thinking that on my bike I used to use a tape on the handle bars that was easy to buy and you just stick it on yourself so your buyer could do that instead of foam.

Freaky! I've had exactly the same thing today! I just made Erin feed from that side all evening to get it back down and luckily it went down fine. Last time it happened I had to express before Erin would drink from that side again.

FBB - about going out in the evening - you wont know until you try, I've had Erin out lots and she's been fine but every time I wonder if it will be ok as she's changing all the time.

Managed to get three books for a pound each in M&S for the party tomorrow :money:Not very big but I don't know the mums or babies that well and they did only give me a days notice :o. I'm looking forward to it though as it will be the first time visiting someone else's house in Streatham :o have made lots of friends but struggle to get past the acquaintance stage. Reading that back some might suggest there is a reason I don't make it past the acquaintance stage - poo, not going to think about it, off to bed.

I think it's totally normal to get stuck at the acquaintance stage with mummy friends. I find a lot of them are 'nice enough', but maybe not people who would be my first choice to socialise with, IYKWIM. It's still very nice to have people to talk baby with though!

    Morning!

Hope everyone is ok this morning?

Boo, so sorry, but I finally managed to get to the post office yesterday, so hopefully be with you shortly :)

Congratulations Krystal :j :j (also a teeensy bit jealous!)

Welcome back Beenie & woohoo for the Joolz, hope you love it! for the neighbours. Can't offer any words of advice, other than that if I were you I'd be posting dog poop through their letter box :p & I hope you managed some sleep in the end

Fab news on wee James :j:j

SJ that next pic along of Alfie & Guy tickled me, all the attempts to get them to look up and they both look down! My son is officially massive compared to diddy Alfie :o :j for the Pandora

Hi Jolene, lovely to hear that little Sophie is doing well & you're all recovered - know the feeling of hospital cabin fever, 6 days was enough for me! Have you any mums & babies type groups nearby you could try?

We've had a hideous night, Guy decided to wake up every 2 hours  Think he's constipated, not been in a couple of days and seems really frustrated, any tips? Really hoping I can drop him with my parents for a couple of hours today so I can nap!

eta: Anyone got any good fathers day present ideas? I'm stuck - we're trying not to buy 'stuff' i.e. mugs etc, as we don't want to move house with any more than we already have. I can't think of anything 'dad' related to get him :/

We did baby foot prints on a card when Henry was about Guy's age. I also agree that chocolate or snacks of his choice is always a winner, or how about an IOU from Guy owing OH a lie in or something (which of course you will have to action, but still).
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p

fitzio, if it were mil on her own, i would. But fil is ill and couldn't really go out walking or whatever. But good idea for the future, as it's usually mil on her own. :)

No red spots, gymfiend. Am about to put warm compress on it to see if that helps. Why do we have to be out of paracetamol?!

Sorry i'll stop moaning. The weather's nice at least! :p

Morning. I'm in a foul mood today, am tired! Wouldn't be so bad if i knew i was tired because my lovely baby needed me, but knowing it was the &%^$%$%'s from next door makes it feel SO much worse. Housing officer's number is constantly engaged.

I have a dilemma... You know the free babysitting i've been doing for DS school friend? Where we have to have him every week while his parents work, even in the holidays...?

Well my sister has bought DS tickets to go the the pictures tomorrow, and he's really looking forward to it. Is it really out of order to cancel the brat, or is it too short notice?

It riles me cos he's got 2 parents (on a LOT of money) who can arrange childcare between them, and it's just too much, 3pm+ is a busy time as it is without looking after another kid and i can never take the dog out on the day he's here cos they start arguing at the park so i said i'm not taking them again.
DS and the brat don't even play together at school much anymore, and i need to wriggle out of doing it without any hard feeling. I'm thinking of changing his swimming lessons to a Weds but i have a feeling she'll swap her work days to accomodate that so i end up having him anyway!!

I think one of you should ring her and tell her i died :(

Cancel the brat!! And use your week off from him to decide how you can tell his mum why you can't look after him any more!!!

Cancel the brat! It really winds me up when people take the P!

Some of the [STRIKE]older[/STRIKE] longer serving PT members may remember I had a similar situation with a strange kid/strange mum down the road. However, it was me working and she'd text me almost every day at 3ish, to ask me to collect her DD from school as she knew i'd be on my way there, from work, to collect mine. (Lots of times the texts would ask me to keep her DD for an hour too while she did something 'important').

Same in the morning too, she'd know I was passing taking DD to school on my way to work, so she asked if I could also take hers a couple of times, then just automatically expected me to every day!

It wasn't like she was busy though, she just cba to get her lazy butt out of the house!

I actually had to go out of my way to avoid her - got OH to take DD to school on the days he could as he was happy to drive past them. :rotfl: And I'd leave my phone at home during the day, so I didn't see the text to collect her DD - it only took the school a couple of times of phoning her to say DD was still there at 3.30 for her to get off her lazy backside.

    Cancel the brat!

This is why I never babysit or offer lifts! OH thinks I'm a meany but no way I'm going to start planning out my days/life to suit other people!!
There was a girl at my work who lived in the same town and she was constantly looking at the rota saying 'oh if we were on the same shift that day I wouldn't have to get the bus'. I just said, 'oh whys that then'?!
Hee hee I have no shame!
